backstory:
the son of barry allen (the flash) and iris west-allen. miles was born and raised in central city. he was three when his powers developed, making for some very interesting young years - at age four, in an attempt to get away from his mom, he ran four miles in an attempt to get to star labs to be with his dad. instead, he wound up in a park somewhere, and cried for several hours. but that's where he earned the nickname "miles."
he was three when his younger sister, christina, was born. the two didn't have a perfect relationship - miles often teased his little sister, especially about how her powers hadn't kicked in yet. and when they eventually did, there was another surprise: christina was a lot slower than the other speedsters in the family.
when miles eventually started attending school, he did great. sure, he had good grades... but he was especially good at theater. he played the prince in the school production of cinderella, eric in the school production of the little mermaid, and lafayette/jefferson in the school's production of hamilton. from a young age, he wanted to be an actor (or follow in his mother's footsteps and become a reporter, but he still hasn't decided.)
by twelve, he finally convinced his father to let him don a suit and follow in the other family business. he started as pulse, then eventually became kid flash (like his uncle wally.) he joined the young justice team at thirteen, and graduated to the teen titans at sixteen.
the only really strange thing about his childhood? bart allen. bart came from the future, claiming he was barry's grandson, though he wouldn't say which of barry's children was bart's lucky speedster parent. while the timeline added up for it to be miles, none of the allens know for sure if it's miles who's his father... or if christina's his mother.

other details:
- trained under his dad, uncle, and jesse. is slower than wally, but faster than his dad.
- has a passion for theater. he actually has a really great singing voice. he gets it from his dad. (feel free to look at the external link.)
- wants to eventually become a reporter, like his mom. it's either that or an actor.
- despite being aromantic, is a huge hopeless romantic at heart. he doesn't get crushes, but if someone cute expresses interest in him, he'd probably be the greatest boyfriend on earth. flowers, chocolates, nice dates, the whole shebang. he'd love a queerplatonic relationship, honestly.
- in a certain au, becomes the flash at 17 when his father and uncle are murdered. proceeds to attempt to travel back in time to save them.
- member of young justice. and then the teen titans. and then the justice league. graduation, much?
- also yes, he was named after his grandfathers.
