"Ary?"

"Yes, Mom?"

"When are you going to invite Landon over for dinner again?"

"He's been over like... three times."

"You should invite him over tonight."

"... Moooommm..."

"We're having adobo for dinner, so you should at least ask."

"He might not like it."

"Not like it? Pshh. Everyone loves my cooking."

"Mom."

"Don't 'Mom' me. Ask the boy."

"..."

"And then get back to me about it."

"You're having... what?"

"Adobo. Meat marinated in vinegar and soy sauce, then browned."

"What kind of meat?"

"Mom usually uses chicken. It's served with rice."

"Sounds... interesting. Why am I being invited over?"

"I asked Mom the exact same question."

"... do you not want me over?"

"..."

"Okay."

"Well, it's not that I don't want you over, I just don't want you to... I don't know. Get annoyed with my family and being around us all the time."

"Just so you know, I like your family. I like you. It's kind of mean that you'd think I'd be that way, to be entirely honest."

"... sorry?"

"..."

"I want you around, I promise."

"Do you?"

"..."

"..."

"I do."

"Okay."

"Be here around six?"

"Okay."

i'm reading a book i shall not name... (the selection by kiera cass) and i ran into a grammar mistake that i shall not list... (on p. 114 prince maxon said 'who shall' and passed using the word 'shall' off as the manifestation of his superior education...)

and oH MY GOD, 'shall' is only to be used with FIRST PERSON. "i shall be," "we shall be." 'will' is the CORRECT helping verb with the other povs, such as second and third: "you will be," "she will be," "they will be."

anyway.

*end rant*

how are you? has school started yet? what year are you going into? ^-^

i'm going into 11... kind of. i'm in year 12 math and only in year 10 english. *shrugs one shoulder* i still know my grammar better than kiera cass does. i feel comfortable with my abilities.

(sorry for the salt. i feel betrayed.)

(also, i'm pretty sure this author's note contains more words than the actual chapter, so sorry again.)
