"So, Landon, when will we be meeting your family?"

"My family?"

"Mom..."

"Yes, it would be nice to get to have your parents over for dinner too, one of these days."

"..."

"They're always busy, haha."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Um... this chicken is really good."

"..."

"What?"

"Nothing."

"You are acting really weird."

"It's just that my mom doesn't know when to stop asking you to bring your parents with you to dinner."

"..."

"You know you can talk, right? This is my backyard, no one is listening to us."

"You obviously haven't watched very many Disney channel movies."

"..."

"I have a life, okay?"

"Stop, you're making me laugh..."

"'Get your head in the game!'"

"STOP! I can't breathe!"

"..."

"Oh my gosh, Landon."

"You should see my Hannah Montana impression."

"Actually, no."

"Come on."

"You don't want to tempt fate. I've gone all evening without ruining anything."

"True, true."

"..."

"..."

"Why are you smiling at me like that?"

"Ow! Don't kick me. Geez, babe. Uncalled for much?"

"Then explain yourself, Don."

"..."

"Kidding, kidding."

"..."

"And you're still smiling at me like that! Stop!"

"If you want me to stop, why are you giggling like a maniacal hyena?"

"..."

"I'm KIDDING. Your laugh is cute."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"... my eyes are burning. This isn't actually a staring contest, is it?"

"... totally. And I'm going to beat you."

"Not happening."

"You're on."

"..."

"..."

"... oH MY GOD, THEY'RE BURNING."

"..."

"Okay, okay. Can't take it. Agh."

"You have been defeated."

"Gah. Doesn't that make your eyes hurt?"

"..."

"Really? A shrug? It feels like someone tried to pry my eyeballs out of their sockets."

"You're ridiculously melodramatic."

"Only when my eyes hurt, babe."

"..."

"Don't make that face at me! It's true!"

"Whatever you say, Don."

~ ~ ~

is it weird that when i experience beautiful things-- like artwork, nature's scenery, touching candid moments, gorgeous music-- i want to melt into it?

i don't really know if this means something is wrong with me, or what, but the intensity of feeling attached to beauty makes me want to cry.

anyways.

hope you like this chapter! my wifi is spotty, but i'll try to keep everything updated. love you guys. ^-^ <3
