"So... You're from Asgard." Coulson said, folding his hands on the table with a smile playing at the corners of his mouth as he looked across at the dark-haired boy.
"Yes." Fenrir nodded steadily "I'm the son of a farmer."
"A farmer." Coulson repeated. The kid had given that piece of information a lot - too much "And you don't know where you are."
"A fortress?" Fenrir guessed, shrugging as he looked around the small grey room "A stronghold of iron?"
Coulson nodded slightly retaining his fixed smile.
"A pretty good guess." He said "Do you know what... realm you're in?"
Fenrir sighed and closed his eyes, trying to remember what his father had told him about the nine realms. Unfortunately, he had never paid much attention to his father's teachings, so he could only gather that he was no longer in Asgard, and most likely not in Jötunheim.
"I know not." He said, opening his eyes and shaking his head "Where?"
Coulson wrote something down in an alphabet Fenrir didn't recognize.
"You're on Earth." Coulson said after a pause "Midgard to you're people. Home to rolling oceans, high mountains, and a lot of stupid people. Welcome."
"Do your people welcome all guests by rendering them unconscious and taking them captive?" Fenrir asked, drumming a finger on the table like he was ADD.
"If they're visiting from other worlds; yeah. Usually." Coulson answered, pulling back the sleeve of his jacket to look at his watch "Anything else you want to tell me? I have to go pretty soon - there's a show I want to catch..."
"Where am I?" Fenrir asked forcefully.
"In an iron fortress in Midgard." Coulson said "We covered this."
"Why did you take my cou-" he stopped himself "-Einmyria. Why did you take her?" Fenrir felt the hairs on the back of his neck standing up like a dog's, but he tried to keep himself under control. He didn't want to reveal himself, but his patience was being tried... He weighed the consequences in his mind.
"I'm afraid I can't tell you that." Coulson said - his smile was weak but steady.
"Is she in danger?" Fenrir growled "Are you hurting her?"
"Not directly." Coulson said "But her safety is important to us."
"But she is getting hurt?" Fenrir said, standing up suddenly.
"She'll be fine." Coulson said matter-if-factly, looking at his watch again "A few nicks and bruises maybe... I have to go, my show's starting." He stood up to leave the room, and glanced at Fenrir quickly before he left.
Fenrir couldn't take any more of this foolery. He was a captive to this man but even after hours of discussion he had no information except what realm he was in and that his cousin was being hurt. Fenrir knew he had to use a different approach to get out - and so he morphed.
Coulson saw the boy fall into a crouching position and clench his teeth so hard they looked like they might crush each other- then his teeth got longer, and his body became bigger... Phil tapped his ear calmly.
"Agent Rogers, I got him." He said as a giant black wolf barked and foamed, eying him with a blood-thirsty glare.
Fenrir leaped at the agent, but not before Coulson was able to pull a small weapon from his jacket and point it toward the beast. The next thing Fenrir knew, he was lying on the ground with lightning coursing through his veins as two agents ran into the room.
