Chapter 33

  "Come on, now," he pulled me along, gaining speed.

I didn't say a word, he was furious. I ran behind him, making sure he didn't have to drag me. I didn't want him getting angrier.

  "Stop him. Don't let him do this Isabella. Stop him," The Voices urged me.

  "Are you listening to me Bella?" Jasper asked.

  "They're right, stop him Izzy. Do not let him do this to you," Michael begged.

  "BELLA?!" He yelled.

  "Sorry Jasper. I guess I'm tired, what is it?"

  "We are going to break the Spirit Tie. But you need to renounce the tie, the pack; I believe it won't work otherwise. Okay?" He stopped and asked, making sure I understood.

I nodded, scared at his seriousness.

  "No, Izzy. Tell him no," Michael guided me.

  "No, Jasper I won't. I refuse," I said loudly, with more courage than I knew I had.

  "You will grant me permission Isabella," he said calmly, but angrily in my frightened face.

  "Think, you're just angry right now. You don't really want to break the bond right now. You just need some time, you don't want to anything you might regret."

  "I've had to force myself from doing this since day one. It has not been easy."

  "Please Jasper, take a day or two. That's all I ask."

  "It's to late for that. Edward will only be the first to attempt something like this. There is only one way to ensure your safety now. And I am happy to oblige to that method," he said firmly.

His words came down on me like a cage door on a song bird. But the bird wouldn't stop singing just because the door slammed shut and neither would I.

  "I don't want this, but we can have other fun right now. Isn't that what you really want, to have me enjoy it with you? I can do that," I say, trying my best at seduction.

  "What I want, is for you to do as I ask and renounce the Spirit Tie and the pack. It'll be a lot easier if you just listen to me."

  "Why don't you lay down and I'll be on top. We'll have sex and I'll enjoy it, I promise. Jasper," I unbuttoned a couple of buttons on his shirt.

Anything to distract him from his newest idea.

  He smirked and unbuttoned his shirt the rest of the way, leaving it hang open. "I'll humor you for a while, but I'm on top." He put my face in his hands and brought it closer to his own, waiting for me to make the next move. "Don't have all day."

I inhaled deeply and kissed his lips lightly. Jasper's hand went to the back of my next, preventing my escape. He smashed his lips to mine with such force that I gasped. Not letting it go to waste, his tongue quickly invaded my mouth.

I tried to kiss back, I was suppose to be wanting it after all, but my mouth wouldn't comply. I was trying to save the Spirit Tie, but I couldn't get myself to respond to him, I couldn't will myself into sex with this vampire who had taken so much from me.

  "Fine, don't do it the easy way. More fun for me." Jasper laughed and pushed me on the bed.

  "The others," I whispered.

  "Are still hunting; Emmett was smart and didn't follow. He probably stayed behind to tend to Edward."

  "Are you sure?"
