"We were summertime sippin', sippin', sweet tea kissin' off of your lips; t-shirt drippin', drippin' wet, how could I forget?..." ~ Dan and Shay, "19 You and Me"
{Friday Morning/Afternoon - Cassandra's POV}
I woke up the next morning to some birds lightly calling for each other outside. Out of habit, I rolled over to grab my phone off the nightstand. I checked the time - 10:30am - and reluctantly slid out from under the covers, my feet lightly touching the soft, fluffy carpet. I quietly made my way out of my room - still in my pajamas from the night before - and into Jasmine's room.
"Oh, looks who's finally awake!" She exclaimed as I entered the room.
I made a barely audible groaning noise as I proceeded to grab a granola bar off of her counter. "Hey, I was gonna eat that!" She whined.
"Sorry man, I'm hungry," I said, laughing, as I took a bite of the granola bar.
"Where are the others?" I asked.
"Well, the boys went out to the store to bring us all back some food that we can all keep in our refrigerators. Erica is down at the pool talking to a few people from that group we saw yesterday, and Samantha is probably still asleep," she said, rolling her eyes as she told me what Samantha was doing.
"You wanna head down to the pool and catch up with Erica?" I asked, my intentions not really to see Erica, but the possibility of seeing Zach.
"Yeah, just give me a few minutes to get dressed and ready. You should probably do the same," she said, pushing me back into my room.
I trailed along to my dresser and plucked out a pretty, red bikini and my sheer black cover-up. I slung my pajamas off into a basket and put the bikini on, followed by the cover-up. I threw my hair up into a messy bun and slid my feet into my white sandals. I plopped down onto my bed to watch TV until Jasmine came over to get me so we could head downstairs.
A few minutes later, there was a knock at my door. I expected it to be Jasmine, but I opened the door to reveal a different face - that of a boy's, rather.
"Zach! Nice to see you, but how did you get my room number?" I asked, looking puzzled.
"Oh, Erica gave it to me. She told me to come up here and tell you to come down to the pool with us," he replied.
"Oh! I was just about to anyways, I'm waiting for Jasmine to finish getting ready," I said, just as her door creaked open.
"Are you rea-" she broke off, realizing Zach was standing there. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" She asked him.
"No, but let me introduce myself - the name's Zach," he said, sticking his hand out to her.
She shook his hand, and then asked, "Are you Cassie's friend?".
