{Thursday Morning - Cassandra's POV}
The fresh morning breeze swayed the curtains hanging from the window of my bedroom, stirring my sleep. I quietly sat up and stretched, pushing my heavy, white duvet cover off my body in doing so. I made my way out of the bed and into the bathroom to freshen up. I performed my usual morning routine of washing my face, and brushing my long, brown hair. Once I was satisfied, I waltzed into my closet to pick out a cute outfit for the day, as my close friends, Jasmine, Erica, and Samantha, would be picking me up later today so we could travel to South Carolina and spend the summer in Myrtle Beach. This summer has been long awaited, as my feet are itching for adventure in a place that is both new and exciting. I carefully plucked a black, high-neck crop top off a hanger and dug a pair of light-wash shorts out of my dresser. I flung off my pajamas and dressed myself in what I had selected to wear for the day. I slipped my feet into my Adidas Superstars and proceeded to apply makeup at my vanity. I applied a natural eye look with a sparkly wing and a light pink lipstick, all being applied after my face makeup, of course. I rolled my hair back into a cute half-updo and embellished it with a floral piece.Once I was satisfied with my appearance, I grabbed my suitcase, backpack, phone, and headphones, and I proceeded to wait in my living room for the girls to arrive.

As I was scrolling through social media, I heard a soft knock at my front door. I clicked off my phone screen and ran to open my door. In the doorway stood my three best friends, dressed well and ready to hit the road.
"Can we stop for snacks before we leave town?" Erica asked.
I nodded, grabbing my things, locking up, and heading to the parked car in the driveway. "I can't believe we are doing this, a childhood dream since we were kids!" Jasmine cheered excitedly.
Now that we finally have graduated high school, it's like a whole new world has opened up to us. We all piled into the car, Erica and Jasmine up front, Samantha and I in the back. Jasmine drove to the nearest convenient store, where we picked out some snacks to keep our bellies fulfilled on the long drive.
As I was munching on a stick of beef jerky, I get a notification from Jasmine's brother, Stephan. "Hey, just texting to let you know I have the rooms at the hotel picked out and reserved, hope you make it safe. -Steph," Read the notification.
"Guys, Stephan texted and said he has the rooms picked out and ready for us," I spoke aloud.
The girls nodded and Jasmine continued driving. It was a long drive from our location in Florida, but we finally reached our destination after a while.
