Retaliated: Chapter 35
~Trey P.O.V.~
Chilling with Breezy and Lolo for the day honestly put me in the best possible mood. I thought it was sweet how Lolo was trying to be the best possible caretaker but Breezy wasn't having it at all. Every little thing became an argument and that left me rolling on the floor holding my stomach as I choked on my laughter. These were the days I missed and it's nice to get 'em back.
"Lolo's outside still, right?" He questioned when he came out from the bathroom. I nodded my head and pointed straight ahead where Lolo was outside with Sugar Peach, sitting on a tree stump feeding her something I couldn't distinguish. "Thank God, I can't take it with her, T. She's killing me faster than the usual rate."
"She's just tryin' to take care of you so you get better faster."
"Nah, get me into the grave faster. She wants Sugar Peach because she's still salty about me not letting her keep that mini cow she got a hold of all those years ago. I still don't understand how she got one as fast as she did." Making his way over to the couch with the crutches, he plopped down next to me and let out a sigh of relief. "I need to get out of this house bruh. Only place on y'alls block that's renting is the house next to the one DeShawn and Lolo are renting. I ain't tryna be her neighbor, I'm already forced to be her cousin."
"Nigga move there. That way it'll be DeShawn, Ty, You and me on the block. Would be lit as fuck and we all in walking distance of each other. I see this as a win-win since we can't move onto Uncle Varo's block." I'd kill to live there, I honestly would, Nicole and the twins are lucky to be there. "I heard you were talkin' to Isabella again. What's good with that?"
"I just might but fuck. I thought it's be cool to try out a condo or studio for a change but I don't wanna deal with people all around me, you know?" I nodded. "But Isabella... oh yeah, I went to CVS to get my refill and I saw her ass down the shampoo isle. I said my aye and she mentioned she was looking for a new place. She's been at Tavian's but he won't let her move in and I mentioned I was lookin' for a new place too and she said we should move in together. Go in half on rent and bills or whatever."
"Really? She said that to you?" He nodded. "What'd you say?" Oh here we go with Isabella, she needs to just find her own place and let Vanessa move in. I bet Mom and Dad would let her move in there till she could find a stable place but I'm not gonna touch that subject with a ten foot pole just yet.
"I said we'll see because I got my whole Breezon and Vonnie situation. I already know Vonnie would be hella upset if I had a female move in with me. She doesn't say it but I know her well enough."
"She's on a free spirit vibe but I see you. Have you been to IRG's lately?" He looked over at me with a 'really nigga?' expression. "What?"
"Does my cripple crutch hoppin' ass look like I can waltz into that trap? I haven't even as much as called Nitty and asked how NBG is doing, let alone my ass actually going to IRG's trap." He said with a subtle laugh. "I need more money though. There's just never enough and I'm tryna get into the millions.
"Ain't we all? Soon as Dad lets me back into the trap, its right to the streets. I ain't think I'd feel this deprived." I feel like Dad's trying to get me to lose interest in IRG, fall off of it like DeShawn did but that's not happening, not now and not ever. It's like IRG is tied to a string and dangling in front of me, just always out of reach and after years of that.. I still haven't managed to snatch it.
"Chris!" Lolo called out, opening the screen door and coming into the house. "Time for your medicine." A smile on her face, her now brunette hair pulled back behind her ears and a ribbon on her heads as a head band, bow at the top that matched the doll-like dress she had on. "It's not the horse one by the way, Vonnie said she'd deal with that one."
