(I'm going to write the story now from the sight of KageHina^-^ Hope you'll like it XD)
"Mother, look what I can make!" The black haired smiled proudly, walking to his mother. "Show me sweetheart..." she chuckled and watched her son, forming a heart out of the mist, which was coming out of his hands. A beautiful black stone shaped as a heart was in the boys hand, as the mist faded away. He was really proud of it. His mother's eyes widened a bit, she took the stone, smiling softly. She kissed the stone and small blue sparks went trough it. "This is beautiful, my little crow." She put the stone on the sill and ruffled her sons hair. Kageyama was proud of his mother. She was known as the black witch of Karasuno and was a strong and beautiful women. But not everyone admired her, many people were afraid of her strength and intimidated by her name and appearance. But the small boy loved his mother and ignored the people, who were slandering her.
"Do you want to help me knitting this scarf?" The black witch smiled down at her son, who jumped excitingly, nodding hasty. "Yes yes yes!" He giggled and went with her to the living room. The small boy was allowed to decide on the colours for the scarf and his mother taught him how to knit.
After they finished cooking, they set the table together. "Mommy, will I ever be as strong as you...?" The black haired looked at his hands. "I can only form this mist..." The look on his face, nearly broke the mothers heart. She hugged him tightly, kissing his head. "My little crow...You're going to be even stronger than me...You're still young. As I were your age, I didn't even know, that I have magical abilities, so in the abstract, you are already stronger than me." As the black haired boy looked up to his mother, he smiled brightly, cuddling with her. "I love you mother..." he whispered, when suddenly he heard some footsteps. The door opened and when the boy regnorised who was standing there, he laughed happily, running to the person and jumping on him, wrapping his arms around the man's neck. "Father you're back home! Mother and I knitted a scarf!" He giggled, snuggling up to his fathers chest.
His father was a plain farmer, who had no magical abilities, but he was very helpful, handsome and always cheerful too. But not today. He looked depressed and concerned. "I'm sorry Kageyama..." he took the black haired off his chest and put him down. "Could you please go up to your room, I have to talk to your mother..." his voice was a whisper. Kageyama wanted to protest at first but he felt the hand of his mother on his shoulder. "Do as your father said...My little crow." She smiled at him, what calmed the small boy down. He nodded and went upstairs, but didn't went further to his room. He sat down on the stairs quietly.
"What is it honey..? Did anything happen on the fields?" She said concerned as her husband sat down on a chair, looking at the scarf his wife and son made. "No not on the fields...You and Kageyama aren't safe anymore. You have to flee. They found us..." Who are they? Why should we flee, what's going on? Kageyamas heart started to beat faster. He was scared.
The father ran his hands through his hair. "No...That just can't be true...I..." the black witch took a deep breath to collect her thoughts. "I'm not fleeing without you! I have strong magical abilities and Kageyama too! But you have non. If they come, let them. I can protect us!" He looked at her as if he fell in love with her again. He slowly stood up and hugged his wife tightly. "I know sweetheart...I know...But you shouldn't talk like that.." He kissed her head and sway to and fro with her. "You knew the day would come, so don't worry about me, okay? You should flee with Kageyama tomorrow. I'll stay here and try to distract them a bit." The black haired didn't understand what his parents were talking about. He didn't want to go. He wanted to stay here with his mother and father.
"I can't do thi-" the man kissed his wife softly and stroke her cheek. "Come on, let's go to sleep." The black witch gave in, nodding slightly. As the boy heard that his parents were coming upstairs, he ran to his room, hiding himself under the blanket. What are Mommy and daddy talking about? I don't understand...
Suddenly he heard a knock at his door. As the door opened slowly, his mother came in. She sat down next to her son, smiling at him and stroking his head. "Good night my little crow..." She whispered, kissing her child's forehead softly. "One of these days, you will become a strong and handsome young man...And I will watching you, always protecting you and will be even prouder of you. I love you, my little crow..." She stood up and went outside the room, closing the door quietly.
Kageyama was overwhelmed with the conversation his parents had and with his emotions. He tried to fall asleep, but couldn't. So he stood up, walking to his parents bedroom and knocking at the door. "Mother...? Father...?" He whispered and suddenly he saw a small blue flame. It was his mother's flame. "Yes sweetheart?" She said a bit tired, but still smiling. Kageyama never saw her upset.
He rubbed his eyes, sniffing a bit. "Can I sleep with you, tonight...?" He was ashamed of himself, playing with his fingers. "Of course, my little crow. You don't have to ask. Come here..." She chuckled and lifted the blanket a bit. The black haired smiled brightly, running to the bed, climbing over his mother to lay down between his parents. He smiled, feeling save and closed his eyes slowly. No...Mommy and daddy would never leave me. Tomorrow everything will be alright...
He fell asleep.
.
The family sat at table, eating breakfast. It was quiet, no one was talking. The father was the first one who talked, breaking the silence. "Did you make that stone, Kageyama?" He smiled at his son, eating a bit bread. Kageyama nodded hasty, drinking a big sip of milk. "Yes! All by myself!" He smiled proudly, what made his parents chuckle.
Suddenly a knock was heard. Everything went quiet again, the small boys parents looked at each other. Their look said more than a thousand words. "I'll open it!" The black haired didn't understand his parents look, so he stayed cheerful. He stood up, but couldn't go further, because his father held him by his wrists. "Fath-" He got interrupted.
"Kageyama, go upstairs!" His father spoke with this tone for the first time to him. Kageyama was intimidated, but didn't move. Again, a knock, but this time louder. "Please, go upstairs." His mother said desperate and a bit teary. The black haired just couldn't move, he didn't understand what his parents want from him. "But wh-" And then the door broke down and three tall, intimidating looking men were standing within the house. "Kageyama run! Now!" His father yelled as he ran to the chimney, taking the sword off the wall. "You won't touch my family." He said in a deep and calm voice. The three men walked towards the father. "The king wants the boy. Give him to us and no one will get hurt. Long live the king." One of them said, forming a spear out of a metal like material with his hands. "I won't repeat myself."
Kageyama still couldn't move. His mother took him by his shoulders, shaking him a bit. "Listen my little crow, go through the back door and run as fast and as wide as you can. Promise me." She whispered, taking off her necklace and putting it around her sons neck. "This will protect you...Now run! Run as fast as you can!" Tears were streaming down her face. Kageyama never saw his mother like that. He started to cry. "B-But mo-mommy..!" Suddenly she widened her eyes. A big spear pierced through her tum. She had to cough, blood coming out of her mouth. "Stop talking black witch. The boy is ours..." one of the men said emotionless. As her husband saw this, he started to yell loud and ran to the men, attacking them. "How dare you!"
Kageyama started to pant heavily. "Mother...N-No..." His whole body trembled, he didn't even feel how tears streamed down his face. "Apparently...My time has come.." she whispered, looking her son in the eyes, smiling warmly. "I love you...And I'll...always watch you f-from...above..." she breathed heavily. "Now run..." Kageyama couldn't resist, his legs started to move by themselves. He cried, wanted to stop and go back, but he couldn't. His mother whispered some old magical formulas, letting the stone at his necklace, which she gave him, shine. But the black haired didn't regnorised it.
It felt as if hundreds of needles were piercing through his legs, his breath was heavy and suddenly. He stopped, collapsing on the ground. His whole body trembled. He buried his face into his hands, starting to cry and yell loud.
As he slowly calmed down, or more stopped crying, he looked around himself and realized, that he sat midway through a field. But all the barley was dried out and grey around him, fume coming out of them. What the small boy didn't realize is that his magical ability did that.
The black haired slowly stood up, looking around himself. "Mother...Father...where am I...I don't know what to do...Why did you leave me alone, why?!" He yelled, nearly starting to cry again, when suddenly he saw a big pall of smoke. His eyes widened and he started to run, his legs moving by themselves out of instincts again. He was four years old back then.
.
The orphan lived in the forest for three years now, learning how to use his mist for hunting. On one day a thunderstorm was approaching. Kageyama went to the cave, where he lived and looked outside. It was pouring rain. He ate some of the berries he found in the forest, when suddenly he saw a weak orange light, coming straight to his cave. "Huh...?" He formed a sharp knife out of his mist, holding it tightly.
What is th-
A small phoenix hobbled into his cave, crowing painfully. His flames were nearly gone and apparently he hurt his wing. Kageyama widened his eyes a bit, slowly crawling to him. As the phoenix saw the black haired, he started to crow in panic, jumping back a bit. "Hush...I want to help you stupid bird..." he mumbled and wanted to touch him, but got burnt by the flames, which grew bigger again out of fear. "Ouch!" He pulled his hands away, blowing against them. "Don't worry...I'm not mad...I bet you are scared..." the small boy said, taking some berries. He carefully pushed the berries over to the phoenix. "Eat...You need them more than I do..." He mumbled, laying himself down.
The phoenix hesitated at first, but than ate them carefully. Kageyama heard the pecks, so he turned around, resting on his elbow. The phoenix crowed happily, hobbling to Kageyama slowly. It looked like as if he tried to bow in front of him. Kageyama had to smile a bit, the first smile after ages. "Apparently I gained your trust...Don't be frightened of me okay? Some mist will come out of my hands, but it won't hurt you, it will help you..." he said as he let the mist, which was coming out of his hands, slowly putting itself's around the phoenix' wing and leg. He flinched a bit, but as he saw Kageyamas look on his face, he relaxed, sitting down. "Good birdie..." the small boy said, nodding pleased. The phoenix crowed once happily, slowly hobbling closer to the black haired. His flames grew bigger, spending light and warmth. He snuggled up against Kageyamas chest. The boy was frightened at the sudden cuddle, but calmed down, as he didn't get burned by the flames.
He enjoyed the warmth, laying an arm around his new friend. "Let's be best friends..." he mumbled as he slowly fell asleep.
.
"Mhm...? Birdie? Where are you?" As Kageyama realized, that his friend wasn't in his arms anymore he started to panic, looking around himself. No no no, did he flew away?! Where is he?
He wanted to cry, when suddenly he heard a happy voice saying a name. "Hinata!" As the small boy turned around, he faced an even smaller, orange haired boy, who had some orange-red flame tattoos on his cheeks and neck and some black veins around his left arm and left leg. He smiled brightly. "Hinata, Hinata!" The orange haired said happily, showing Kageyama berries, which he apparently found. "Huh...? Wait...Birdie? Are you the phoenix from yesterday?" The black haired looked at him a bit uneasy, but the tattooed boy nodded hasty. "Hinata!" He giggled. "So you're actually a boy..." He mumbled. "Can you say anything other than Hinata?" He sighed a bit irritated. "Hinata...." the phoenix said, shaking his head sadly. "Oh well, that's gonna be annoying..." Kageyama thought for a brief moment about it. "Is this your name? I mean Hinata." Hinata smiled again, nodding hasty. "Hinata Hinata Hinata!!" The black haired put his hands on his ears. "God shut up, I understand...So your name is sun? How witty..." he snickered and the phoenix started to pout. "I'm sorry I'm sorry, but stop that stupid look on your face and let's eat these berries..." he said, sitting down on the ground with his new best friend, eating the berries appreciative.Five years later
"Okay, I'm gonna distract the marketer and you'll steal some bread, got it?" Kageyama was 12 years old. He and his phoenix and best friend Hinata were well attuned to each other. Three years ago, they started to go to the market. They realized, that stealing was easier then hunting.
The phoenix nodded, they did as the now tall boy told, running away as they got the bread, hiding themselfs in a big crowed. Good we escaped...But why are so many people here?
He gave Hinata a piece of bread, who ate it happily. He tried to understand what the people were talking about. "Hey, what's going on?" The black haired tugged on a woman's dress as he asked it. "Don't touch my dress, little brat!" She sniffed disgusted. "And hadn't you heard about it? The coronation of the new king and queen is today! She's very beautiful and aristocratic, but some say she's actually a man...And the king is a strong and good looking guy. Hah...I wished he would marry me..!" She fanned with her hands. Kageyama rolled his eyes, but new king and queen got his interest. "Oi Hinata, could you make a hot flame, so we can reach the church? But don't burn the people!" He said. The phoenix nodded in respond and did as he was told. The people who came into touch with the flame, backed off in shock. Kageyama squeezed himself through the crowd and further into the church. The coronation started already. He somehow managed to get to the front row, looking at the queen and king. The queen had long silver hair and a small mole on her cheek. She (or more or less he) was wearing a beautiful dress, already having the crown on her head. Her husband had his crown already on his head too. He was a handsome, strong looking man, who was taking the hands of his queen, smiling brightly at her and kissing her forehead. They both had a warm aurora around them, then looking at their people, still smiling. Kageyama felt how everyone was touched by the royal couple. Even he was touched, but he realized that it was more or less the magic ability of the queen. Angelic Smile.
"Long live the King Daichi Sawamura, long live the Queen Sugawara Koushi!" The priest yelled and the people repeat it loudly. Kageyama didn't know, that his whole fate should change soon._____________
