I silently climbed atop the tree, watching Victor try to hide below me. I waited until I was sure he wasn't going to look up and pounced. I landed on his back and put my hand over his mouth so he wouldn't give away our position. "Gotcha!" I laughed, jumping off of his back.

He laughed softly and looked up at the tree next to his. "Run! She's over here!" He yelled quite loudly and the scurrying of leaves followed.

I quickly looked back at him and narrowed my eyes. "Ooo, I'm gonna get you for that, Bruntly!" I called, dropping the conversation and chasing after the fleeing children.

As we were running, I caught sight of familiar blonde hair. "Emma!" I yelled while running. She didn't dare look back, keeping her eyes trained in front of her.

The ivy leaves whipped past us as we ran, my breath becoming cold as it did so. I wouldn't be able to run much longer. But, neither could she. We gradually began to slow before she took a quick left and ran through the trees again, laughing. I lost her.

I growled in frustration and looked up at the Blue Jays who were laughing at us. "Can you help me? I can't find my friends!" I called to them and they nodded while laughing. "I know the game you are playing, Peace Speaker." One of them said as they took off.

I followed them, eventually running upon a group with Millard, Olive, and Claire. I laughed as they tried to tie a rope around Olive's waist so she could find me. I quickly jumped from my hiding place and tagged all three of them.

Without another word, I watched the birds start to fly again and still chased them. "Cheater!" I heard Olive yell behind me. I laughed softly. They did say that I could use my peculiarity.

The birds eventually led me to Enoch who was hiding near the Charin and trying to scope out my area with his homunculi. I simply walked up on him, staying in his line of sight. He sighed and put out his right hand for me to tag. I smiled gratefully and tagged his hand.

He pointed with the same hand towards the woods on the other side of the Charin and put a finger up to his lips as if to shush me. I smiled and climbed one of the trees, dancing between them before I found Emma hiding behind one with Hugh and Fiona beside her.

Fiona was looking up at me in surprise, but didn't show the others where I was. I smiled at her, laughing as I jumped down and tagged them. Well, not all of them. Emma jumped from her position the second I left the tree and I only got Hugh and Fiona. I groaned as Emma gave chase again, running after her.

"Emma!" I yelled as I chased her. "Come back and end the game so we can switch off!" I called, stopping in my tracks and leaning against a tree. "This will keep going forever!" I called again and heard her laugh.

I felt a hand gently touch the back of my head and Emma appeared from behind me. "I win!" She called triumphant.

We knew that some of us had no chance while running from others, so we changed the rules. If you could tag the person who was 'it,' then you would become 'it' and the other person would be out if the game.

I groaned in defeat, walking with her back to the house. She was smiling the whole way. We met up with everyone else and they all seemed to understand the situation whenever we walked up.

A couple of them high-fived Emma and the other congratulated her. I laughed softly, narrowing my eyes playfully at them. "Hey, I did good, too! Seven people in ten minutes." I said proudly and they laughed.

We entered the house and went to clean up. Dinner was to be held soon and Fiona and I had to start cooking, for we were on kitchen duty.

After a bath and clean clothes, Fiona and I met up in the kitchen. She started with the rabbit and I started with the vegetables. An eye for an eye.
