I honestly don't know if this happens before or after Abe leaves, but imma put it after
==-+-==

A year and seven months had passed since Abraham left and his letters became less and less frequent. It tore Emma and Miss Peregrine up the most, although, moreso the former.

Most of the children had stopped talking about the boy, the house of peculiar children had seemingly forgotten about him. Not that Ariabella minded, of course. She didn't really care for the boy in the first place.

Something that did bother the girl, however, was the fact that Victor, of whom she loved dearly as a brother, had gotten antsy in the loop.

Said boy would go on and on any chance he could about the future-- or, present time, rather-- and the Bird had been visibly worried about it.

"Imagine the medicines that have been invented now! We don't know, peculiarity could be known by now. I'd be willing to bet that someone had found a loophole to the aging thing."

Everyone silently ate their meals, solemnly listening as the boy continued his speech. Miss Peregrine would often scold the boy on talking about such matters, though it wouldn't do much to stop him. He was rather persistent, and it worried Ariabella.

Ariabella was terrified that Victor was going to leave the loop. Absolutely terrified. She often tried to talk him down and calm him down before he got into hysterics about the future. Though, she'd recently started losing her grip on the boy's sanity.

"Mr Bruntly, might I remind you that we do not speak of such things. Especially at the dinner table." Miss Peregrine said, though it was in more of a hushed tone than she usually scolded the children.

Victor stopped talking for just a moment, his leg bouncing under the table. He finally picked up his fork, stabbing the food on his plate. "Well, I'd have thought you all would care," He shoved a forkfull of food in his mouth, keeping his eyes trained on the plate. "Guess not," He muttered.

The children lowered their heads once more. Some of them stopped eating all together. The older kids seemed worried that the boy would end up doing something rash. They knew of the dangers, as did he. The younger children were more or less confused as to why it was such a big deal. The future was obviously going to be much different than their present time.

"Miss Peregrine, may I be excused?" Aria asked quietly, all eyes pointing in her direction. She didn't wait for an answer, as she picked up her half-empty plate and raked out the food, placing the plate in the sink. She retired to her shared room, sitting on the bed with a solemn look.

The sound of footsteps outside her bedroom door let her know that the other children had done the same, doors opening and shutting all across the hall.

I am so sorry everyone, but—though I assume
you all know— I will not be finishing this story. I have lost all motivation for it.

However, if anyone is interested in rewriting or finishing Ariabella's story, please, be my guest. I would love to read what direction y'all think this story was going.

Of course, please give me at least a line of credit. If anyone would like me to copy the existing chapters and send them to you, please dm me and I will do my best to get them to you as soon I see the notification.

I love you guys and thank you so much for all of the positive feedback. I wish I could have finished the story for you.

With love,
