Gracie was shocked when she looked out the window and saw a vampire under the street light. It was quite shocking to Gracie because she did not believe in mythical creatures. Gracie silently crept down the stairs hoping her parents wouldn't hear her. As she got to the last step she heard a voice saying her name. She walked outside and hide in the doorway trying not to be seen. The vampire has the scariest looking fangs and the darkest cape that Gracie had ever seen. The vampires head snapped up its eyes a piercing red. Gracie was only ten and she was going to die. Looking the vampire in the eye she reached for a weapon of some sort like a rock. The vampire who turned out to be a male looked at her shocked. "I wouldn't do that, it would get you killed sweetie."The vampire said a smile upon his pale face. "Why should I listen to you?"Gracie asked a look of frustration upon her angelic face. "The reason you should listen to me sweet Gracie is because I am your brother, and your suppose to be a vampire as well."The vampire purred. Gracie screamed in terror and threw the rock at the vampire before running away.

Gracie stood up, trembling. She walked to her door, being extra quiet so her family didn't hear. She walked down the stairs, her bare feet hitting the cold tile at the bottom of the stairs. She walked to the door and reached up, opening the door with a bit of struggle. She pulled the door open and jumped back from what she saw. There stood a wolf with teeth bared, yellow eyes alert and it was about her height. She gulped when it's eyes lit up like lanterns finding her. She had heard stories of these things. Vicious creatures by night but by day no where to be found. Of course! Tonight was a full moon! Foolish was what little Gracie had been. She could see it now. The papers with her death. But this wasn't an ordinary wolf. No it wasn't. Gracie noticed the black fur similar to her lost older sister Raven's hair. She moved forward a bit. "R-Raven?" She squeaked. The wolf seemed to smile and rubbed against Gracie. Gracie put her hand and stroked Raven's soft, silky ears. "I missed you so much.." She murmured.

Gracie blinked again, looking out the window. She stared at the mysterious figure in her front yard. She looked down at it again, and a chill went through her as she saw a pair of golden eyes staring right back at her. She quickly hopped back in bed, covering herself with her sheet. Please not be real.. Please.. She thought to herself. Silence. Nothing happened. Then BAM. Scratchig on the window started to sound, as she fidgeted in her bed, trying to convince herself it's just her imagination. But it wasn't. She slowly took off her sheet to see a boy at the window. He looked innocent. "Please open the window." He said, from the outside. Wearily, Gracie obeyed. She slowly opened the window as the boy flew in, almost like a flash. "Who are you?" Gracie managed to ask, as she hid behind her chair. "I won't hurt you." He said calmly, reaching out his hand towards her. "Why Not?" Little tweleve year old Gracie questioned, slowly getting up from the floor. "Because I love you."
-Fate-
Gracie’s sharp eyes were focused on the dark cloud of mist trailing along the ground and snaking its way up anything taller than itself. A normal person would miss it, with its ever-changing hues of poisonous mauve, midnight blue and jet-black it camouflaged perfectly into its shady surroundings. It looked... rather promising. Gracie couldn’t quite figure out why it had suddenly appeared out of the night-time nothingness until a sleek tabby cat dashed out of a shadowy alleyway and into the fog. It was lifted into the chilly night air and it drifted away, frightened. Without hesitation, Gracie cautiously stepped out of her room and sneaked out of the house. The cold air snaked around her as she dived into the cloud of mist and was carried away until she reached a gaping manhole and dropped straight in. She had landed in an underground city, with laughing people strolling down the streets and colourful buildings as far as the eye could see. And for the first time in years... Gracie’s rosy pink lips stretched into a smile.
