4 OCTOBER. TUESDAY.

A word of warning to my disciples: This commandment comes in two parts. Both contain descriptions/suggestions of sexual abuse. Please skippity skip if it may trigger, offend or upset.

Just over a week had passed since Freshers' Week ended, and I was starting to get into the swing of life as a university student. Last week marked the true beginning of my course, as we began working on Richards's first project and attending lectures. Whilst some covered fashion history, others honed in on our ability to understand the world of marketing and creating successful solutions. Those lectures were my favourites. Partially because I was passionate about marketing. Also because that was Richard's speciality. Generally speaking, he would lead the marketing lectures. Dani and I had no objections to this. The best days were Wednesdays, though. Traditionally, universities have no scheduled classes on Wednesdays so that all the students can go to varsity sports matches. Whilst I didn't have a problem with watching guys my age getting sweaty on a football pitch, the true benefit of this was being able to party like crazy every single Tuesday and not have anything to wake up for in the morning. It was a dream come true, and I had no intention of wasting such an opportunity.

Coincidentally, it just so happened that Francesca's birthday fell on a Wednesday. I'd come to find that Francesca was a girl on my course who it was just truly impossible to hate. She was friendly, funny, sociable and the kind of person who didn't do the whole "group of friends" thing. She was perfectly happy going between groups as and when it suited her. That basically meant that she was friends with almost everyone, not only on the course but on the related ones too. She knew so many other people from Art & Design-related courses.

I'd first started speaking to Francesca at Costa, actually. I found out that she was a student when she was serving me!

. . .

The Italian brunette serving me handed me my receipt. I was about to walk away, before I noticed her golden wristband.

"You're a Man Met fresher?" I asked, nodding at her wrist and showing mine.

"Yes, I am! I am studying Fashion Marketing," she smiled, pouring my tea into the disposable cup.

"Same here!"

"No way, that is so great to find someone doing the same! Would you like to get coffee sometime? I get a 50 percent discount at any of the Costas."

"Sounds perfect!" I scribbled down my number on my receipt and give it back to her. "Well, I won't keep you from your job," I smiled as she slid my finished drink across to me.

"I'll see you soon, uhh...your name is what?"

"Teagan. Like the drink!" I grinned, raising my drink.

"Lovely, I'm Francesca! Enjoy the rest of your day!"

. . .

Francesca had texted me, along with probably about 30 others who she had become close with, inviting us all to her pre-drinks before heading to the club on the Tuesday night where we'd countdown to Wednesday night: her 20th birthday. We'd be meeting tons of other people at the club itself - getting hundreds into a student's kitchen would be a bit impossible!

Soon after replying to Francesca, I received a text from Nick on our group chat. I had obviously introduced Nick and Dani to one another, and the three of us had formed an inseparable little trio of sass.

from Nick: Tuesday. No classes tomorrow. Where the clubbing at?

to The Three Slutsketeers: Come to Francesca's pre-drinks with me, I was invited! It's her b-day tomorrow, bring a little something.
