_____________________________________"What? Ezra, what are you talking about?" Kanan asked, clearly confused beyond compare.
"Kanan, I don't think that's Ezra." Sabine said worriedly.
"But that is Ezra, what are you-"
"Kanan look out!"
The Jedi quickly turned around, lightsaber in hand and alive and blocked the incoming attack from the other male's red lightsaber in front of him. He looked straight into the eye of his enemy, confused and afraid. Not only afraid for the safety of his crew mates, but of Ezra. This wasn't the Ezra they had found on Lothal a year ago, something happened to him and the empire was at fault.
They break away, forcing the each other the other way. They were both kneeling on the ground looking at each other. The anger in Ezra's eyes was something terrifying, they changed Ezra. They did something to him when they had captured him a year ago.
"Well, well. It seems you found out about our little project, or your supposed 'prisoner' you were attempting to rescue." A mysterious voice creeped in.
Suddenly, Ezra had got up from his kneeling position, standing up straight and tall, glaring in the Kanan's direction. Sabine and Zeb had their weapons up, ready to fight. A figure stood slightly behind Ezra, an insane smile spread across his face, his pointy teeth sticking out.
"Ezra is not a project! What did you do to him?" Kanan said, eyes staring angrily at the grand inquisitor.
"This boy is no longer Ezra Bridger, this is Project 909. He is the empire's new weapon." The Pau-an replied, his wicked grin became wider if that was even possible.
Kanan's eyes widened. They had heard of this so called new 'imperial weapon' from fulcrum but he never thought they would use an actual human being. This was all his fault. He had chosen to leave Ezra behind because of his fears and jay was a terrible idea. Ezra was the prisoner they were supposed to rescue but also the warning they were told about. He wasn't leaving Ezra behind this time, he wasn't making the same mistake again.
"Kanan, we need to go. It was a trap." Sabine said.
"No, it wasn't. Ezra is the prisoner we were supposed to save and I'm not making the same mistake again." Kanan replied, his eyebrows furrowed.
The inquisitor smirked, "Go ahead, Project 909."
Ezra charged at Kanan, his face still emotionless. Lightsabers his against each other, a green light sparking between them every time they met. Sabine and Zeb were shooting in Ezra's direction, trying to give Kanan a better lead.
"Don't hurt him! Keep on doing what you're doing, just don't hurt him!" Kanan yelled, "They did something to him so he's not himself right now!"
The two others nodded sharply and continued shooting at the raven haired teen, causing him to deflect them and take his attention away from Kanan for a slight moment. With this advantage, Kanan charged toward Ezra, forcing the teen to turn swiftly and block the attack.
"Ezra, this isn't you! Snap out of it!" Kanan cried out, hoping to crack Ezra out of whatever happened to him.
"My name is not Ezra!" Ezra yelled through gritted teeth, "Do not call me that!"
Ezra pushed Kanan away using the force, throwing Kanan against the wall across the room. Sabine and Zeb gasped charging toward Ezra just to be thrown across the room behind him. He walked toward Kanan, who was sitting down, rubbing his head in pain. Ezra's lightsaber still ignited, Kanan's across the room out of the older man's reach and turned off. Ezra put his lightsaber to kanan's throat, glaring at him menacingly.
