❝There are all kinds of ways for a relationship to be tested, even broken, some, irrevocably; it's the endings we're unprepared for.❞

I wasn't so sure why Valerie wanted to meet. I mean she literally ran off when I told her my name. There must be some connection, but I just can't seem to grasp it.
I quickly changed into decent clothing since I was wearing pajamas. I was exhausted after the party.
"Hey Valerie." I said calmly once I reached Julie's.
"Hi Aiden Parker." Valerie replied.
"Just Aiden is fine." I said with a weird look on my face. I don't understand why people call other people by their first and last name.
"Ella Porter. She was your best friend. What happened?" Valerie asked sternly.
"Uhm I stopped talking to her." I answered, not knowing what exactly to say.
"Well you hurt her, shattered her, and broke her." Valerie stated.
"I know." I said while looking down at my lap. I felt so guilty.
"Well today, I'm going to put that aside. I need your help." Valerie said.
"What do you need me for?" I asked.
"I need you to go to El and calm her down. She's been crying ever since I told her that I talked to you at the party. I need you to be her best friend again, even if it's just for tonight. You need to help her because I can't. I wish I could, but she needs you, not me." Valerie said with a sad smile. She got up from the booth we were seated at and left.
Did I want to see Ella again? Obviously I did.
Did Ella want to see me again? Probably not.
I just wasn't sure whether I should, but I guess I'm just going to go. I need to fix the mistakes I made. I need her back in my life.
