The Why

Serena's POV

So why was I awakened from the human world? I didn't know. There was just so much going on, I didn't even think about it. So Drea decides to tell us the tale.

"This realm is haunted. Haunted by evil spirits that call themselves 'The Shadows'. We didn't bring any magic or witchcraft into the human world because humans have the initiative to take action against anything in their way. If there's a problem, most of them will fix it. There is no way that any magic released in their world could help them conquer The Shadows because of their not so secret approach to things. If people are unhappy with something, they'll say so..."

" These are all generalizations that are not true for every human's mind, Drea" Nora butted in.

"Yeah, whatever", Drea continued,"Anyway we needed some human initiative for this so called 'war'. We're not really in an open war. The shadows have been haunting these woods for centuries. We've sent Serpias, Shums, Spellbounds, Cave Dwellers, mermaids, faeries, and unicorns into battle. Hell, we even tried to recruit the waters of death!"

Lo snorts.

Drea shoots her a look.

"I'm sorry you just said that you sent unicorns into battle.", Lo says "where the hell am I, the Land of Oz?"

"You're going to tells us about all of those strange creatures you named, right?" I ask.

Drea nods.

"Come, we're going to tell you all about this place right now.

Field trip!"
