Into The Realm

Lo's POV

Serena, Drea and I exit the moonlit chamber into a grand stone hallway.

Nora goes down to her creator lab. We descend down a large set of stairs. We pass a lot of different creatures. I'm sorry to stare, but this is so bizarre . This place seems to be some kind of Head Quarters. We exit through the main entrance, and a freezing burst of wind hits us. It's really dark out, and the moon is really bright. We're in the middle of a pine forest, there's a wailing coyote in the distance.

"It's a long way to the region of the forest that the Shums control. We'll camp out here tonight."

Oh joy.

...

We wake up in the morning and it is actually pretty beautiful. Birds are chirping sweetly, the sun is out, the grass is fresh and the flowers are vibrant. Everybody gets up and it's off to the land of the Shums. I still don't know what these 'Shums' are. So I ask.

"Shum is just short for super human. They're stronger. A LOT stronger. All muscular. and smart too."

"So are they super hot?"

Drea smiles. "Super."

We eventually arrive at the Shum territory. A human- a large, handsome, muscular human greets us. I look at Serena. She's staring at him. I laugh. He smiles a perfect smile at her. She blushes. I roll my eyes and groan. Sure, he's hot, but there's got to be more to this story. It's too good to be true.

"Hi, I'm Chris" he says.

Serena blushes.

I look at Drea. She rolls her eyes and bats her eyelashes mockingly.

I hold back a laugh.

"Anyway," Drea says, "Show us where Darell is. And explain to them what Shums do."

"How about telling us what exactly we are going to go on this mission, DREA!" I say.

She smiles at me "In time, Lo, in time."

HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO TAKE?!
