Silverblade's P.O.V~
It was getting very dark out and after countless hours of wandering through the forest, I thought we should have some fun for a change. Ben and I didn't have any cask on us, so we chose to scare any campers that entered Slender's Woods.
"Ready?" Ben asked excitedly. I put a thumbs up and mouthed, 'One, two, THREE!' I made a dash to a nearby tree and Ben began to make their cellphones go haywire. How do they get reception out here? I rustled leaves, running back and forth spreading them all across the dead grass. Their flashlights traveled toward the direction of all the noise and soon the campers' mouths hung agape at my masterpiece. I had just enough time to create a large circle with an 'X' through it. The humans were scared to death and hurriedly tried to find their way out of the dreadful forest. The two of us couldn't hold in our laughter and sprawled out on the ground, clutching our sides and rolling around like idiots. Our laughter quieted and soon faded into complete silence. I grabbed Ben's hand and his lips parted into a smile. I missed that smile after all the drama we've encountered. It felt like bliss. "That was really fun! I would really love to do this again sometime." Ben's expression brightened like a child's would, if given candy. "I had fun too! You should've seen the looks on their faces!" I giggled into the dry grass. The two of us shared a pack of marshmallows that Ben had stolen and we layed peacefully side by side. I took notice that our fingers were still laced together and I blushed a little. I didn't know why I got so nervous around him! It feels all weird and scary. Like a roller coaster that I can't get off. I'm enjoying the thrill, but it scares me every time. Ben glanced at me and I looked him in the eyes. His lips brushed against mine and we stared one another for the longest time. Loud footsteps broke the eerie silence and flocks of birds soared into the sky. I could tell that they did not belong to any animal and it sounded very threatening. We bolted up and Ben took out his sword. "Sh*t, it's Slender," Ben cussed, "Act natural." Ben put away his sword and pulled off his hat, giving his winning grin. "Yeah, babe. Natural indeed." Sarcasm dripped from each sentence and he stuck his tongue out at me. Slender appeared before us, tentacles flaring. "Rarity, what have you done to Crosshatch?" his tone was dangerously quiet. I shivered, "What are you talking about?"
"You know exactly what I am talking about, young lady."
"Mind explaining?"
"All that needs to be 'explained' is why you've become so aggressive toward our new proxy. You are to be punished."
"Ha, I love how you said our proxy. Anyway, you can't punish me."
"Oh, yes I can. You are not eighteen yet, you are very immature, and you live in my mansion."
"Well, it wasn't my decision to live there. I was perfectly fine at my own house. What makes you my father anyway?" I fire back.
"The simple fact that he isn't around anymore, dear."
Slender was getting on my last nerve! Punishing me for no apparent reason. "Look, Slenderman, I don't know what she told you but-"
"That's enough, child."
"But-"
"Enough. I've had it with this childish nonsense! That goes for you as well, Benjamin." Ben looked sheepishly at the ground. "You two will be separated until you will learn to mature. Especially you, Dalton." My green eyes narrowed into thin slits.
"You can't keep me away from her, Sir. It's unjust." He gripped my hand tighter.
"I can. Your kill counts have been dangerously low. That is what concerns me most. You're getting weaker, just as I suspected..."
