It all starts with July 25, two days after my fourteenth birthday party all of my friends and I are meeting up at the shake shack downtown by the shore. We live by the ocean in Australia. I have lived here my whole life and I don't plan on leaving any time soon. The shake shack is a popular place but is never gets extremely crowded because of the small town we live in. It is the usual place for me and my friends to hang out at. Its right by the beach so we usually meet there go for a swim then go back there and grab somthing to eat.
But on this day we were meeting there to get something to eat before we go shopping. Since school starts in 2 weeks we were having our annual back-to-school shopping spree. Then after that we would all go back to my wonderful beach house. Then we would make our bucket list.
It usually isn't that big of a deal just measly things like walk backwards, talk with british accent, wear mitch-matching shoes, stuff like that. This year though we wanted to do something better and more noticeable. That is why this year we decided to change our lives.
Once we were done with our shopping me and Allisa made our way towards my house. When we reached my house we called Jacob, Tyler, and Claire. This is our whole group of friends but out of all of us me ,Allisa and Jacob have know each other since birth so we are closer then Tyler and Claire at somethings.
All three of our moms were dancers and best friends so it was just normal for us three to become best friends and we did.
Once everyone was in their spots in the movie room we started coming up with ideas. After an hour or so we had our bucket list completed.
Freshman year bucket list
1. Paige- change whole personality, clothes, and attitude.
2.Allisa- only allowed to have one boyfrend per semester.
3. Jacob- has to pass all his classes with at least a b-average.
4.Tyler- get a girlfriend (ask Claire out!)
5. Claire- learn to be outspoken/do not continue being shy.
Once we were done we all decided to have a movie night were everyone slept over and we stayed up and watched movies till morning. 'What do ya'll want to watch"? I asked them " Can we at least watch one chick flick"? Claire asked. All of us girls started to laugh as we seen the guys facial expressions and when they groaned in torture. They hated chick flicks but they knew that us girls would get our way in the end. "Okay so i have Cluless, Footloose, and Hostage." "OMG!! Can we watch the breakfast club?" Allisa shouted. We all knew that was her favorite movie and that she would eventually ask to watch it. After i grabbed the last dvd and put the first one in we all settled in and started our movie night.
Sitting on the coach by Jacob I really stated zoning out and thinking about this bucket list. It’s not that I was scared or even excited I just really didn’t care. I know that might sound bad or weird but I was just ready to see what happens. “Paige you okay”? Jacob whispered. I looked at him confused and shook my head yes. “You were zoned out again weren’t you”? He asked me, again in a whisper. Confused as to why he was whispering I looked around and seen that everyone was staring at the TV not even blinking that often. He must not want to disturb them. My friends get annoyed when people talk during movies. I looked at him when I heard him chuckle and sent him a look as if to say “what”? He stared at me for a moment then whispered “you zoned out again”. Realizing he was right I laughed a little too loud maybe. When I looked up everyone was looking at me. I put my head down and when everybody turned their attention back to the TV I looked at Jacob. “Sorry, I have been zoning out a lot lately. He looked down at me and smiled then he threw his arm around my shoulders. After a moment or two he said “It’s okay you’re cute when you zone out”. I looked at him and noticed he turned a little pink and he turned his attention back to the TV. That is the last thing I remember before I fell asleep that night.
