I skipped all the way to the beach, people nervously watched me, apparently questioning my health.
"So, uh, how did you get here exactly?" Ava asked as we stopped at the water.
"I was swimming in a pond, well, sleeping in a pond, and the next thing I know, I'm here!"
Ava stared at me, "That's it?"
"Uhh... yeah. That's it."
Ava snorted, "Well if I knew about that pond I bet your world would be flooded with our people."
I cringed, "I hope not."
"That's offensive!"
"Well, you could stay, because you are reasonanble, but if your people want us as PETS, than no thanks!"
"Excuse me, you're the one that just happened to show up in our world."
"... FONE"
"Fone?"
"I MEANT FINE! -lol-"
Ava stared at me, "Uh... ok then."
"OKAY CONVERSATION IS OVER. NOW TO THE WATER... AGAIN!"
Ava sighed as I dragged her by the wrist to the lake.
She walked into the water first, expertly moving out of the way of giant waves. I watched in awe as her sacles appeared back onto her skin and her hair turned into fins.
She waved at me to come in.
"Deep breath Shilla, Deep breath." I walked slowly into the water, unconsiously checking to see if my 'fin' was still there.
I straightened my shoulders before pushing off the ground and swimming towards Ava.
She smiled, maybe because she was finally seeing how good of a swimmer I was. I became a little too confident of myself as a wave, that had somehow snuck up on me, crashed on top of my head.
"ACK!"
Water rushed into my lungs as the wave took me deeper into the lake. I saw a glimpse of blue scales flashing in my eyes before losing consiousness.

"PLEEEEEASE wake up!"
I groaned as I sat up, wincing at the bright lights that shone in my eyes.
"Finally! I was sitting here for ages!"
The enviroment that I was in was cool, strange even. It seemed as though I was lighter than the air I was in. I managed to open my eyes slightly, seeing an unfamiliar face in front of mine.
"Woah!" I said yelped, backing up.
"Careful! You'll fly off the couch!" The person said, grabbing my arm to stop me. they seemed as though they were lowering me back onto the couch.
They let go of me as soon as I balanced myself.
I took a deep breath trying to remeber what happened.
"Wh-... How-..."
"Shhh, you need to rest, I'll answer quesions when you feel better.
The person started walking... swimming, into another room. My eyes widened as I waved my hands in the 'air' around me. It slowed my movements, but I was breathing fine!
"Wait!" I called after them. Their head poked out from behind a doorway. They had scales and fins, just like what Ava had.
"where am I?" The person raised an eyebrow at me.
"Your in my house, you know, under the lake?"
I started to hyperventilate.
"Waoh woah! Calm yourself!" They swam over to me, putting a webbed hand on my forehead.
Their eyes flickered to my neck, probably checking out my fin. I coughed out my words.
"I'm u-under water?"
"Yeah? big deal! Your fine, aren't you?"
"You have no idea...." I mumbled.
