"Mawr?"
I backed away as far as I could from the two orbs.
"You have to though! Marin said it was important!"
"I CAN'T!"
I huddled into the far corner as the two orbs floated gently to the ground in front of me.
"BUT IT'S IMPORTANT!"
"GO AWAY KOI!"
"FINE! Don't blame me when you get in trouble!"
"WHATEVER!"
"Mawr!"
"shhh!" I said.
"MAWR!"
"Go calm that animal down too!"
I heard the 'intruder' leave in a rush.
"Ugh! Stupid Koi!"
I heard Ava aproach me as the door opened. Light flooded into the room and the creature in front of me appeared.
"Awww!" I said as the cat 'smiled' at me.
It brushed against me and I realized that it had a fish-tail.
"Oh wow! you met Mimi already?" Ava said.
"She scared me while I was in here, but now that I see her in the light, she is sooo adorable!"
Ava smiled, "Well, come on! Koi so rudly barged in and ruined my mood!" She stomped her foot.
"Who's Koi again?" I asked.
"Oh, he's my older brother."
"Ahhh, ok." I said.
Mimi bounded after us as I climbed out of the closet.
"And who's Marin?"
"Our lawyer."
My eyes widened
"Shouldn't you talk to your lawyer? That's kinda a big deal if you ask me!"
Ava shrugged.
"If you ask me Koi should be the one doing all of this because he actually cares."
I laughed.
"So how old are you?" I asked.
"Thirteen? you?"
"Uhh... twelve... but I am turning thriteen soon!" I said quickly.
Ava smirked and gave me a baby face.
"Awwww, your so cute!" She pinched my cheek and I pulled away from her.
"Stop! seriously! I get this so much I hate it!" I waved my ahnds at her.
"Pffff, whatever."
I glared at her before returning to roam around the home.
I bounded down the stairs and down into the basement where I found a kitchen.
"A kitchen in the basement? Wow, strange architecture. Uhh, where the bathroom?" I asked.
"What's a bathroom?"
I was taken aback at Ava's comment
"You don't know what a bathroom is?!"
"N-no?"
"Augh!" I ran around in circles
"WHERE DO YOU RELIEVE YOURSLEF?"
"Uhhh, over here."
She pointed over to a small room in the corner.
I practically sprinted to the room and slamed the door behind me.
"I'll be in my room." Ava said.
I looked around the enclosure.
Finding the toilet I sat down.
***
"Ahh you're back!" Ava said as I entered her room.
"Yep, so what now?"
Ava shrugged.
"What do you want to do? We have shops, swimming, restura-"
"SWIMMING?" I asked.
"I shouldn't have said that..." Ava said mostly to herslef
"Why not?" I asked, putting my hands on my hips.
"You have to morph to swim... uh, it's the law, so sorry..." Ava put a reasuring hand in my shoulder.
I made a pouty face at her but she still shook her head. I started up fake tears (a trait I learned when I was 9) as Ava stared at me.
"Are you seriously going to cry?"
"Nuuuuu!" I said, wiping my eyes.
"no matter WHAT you do I will NEVER TAKE YOU SWIMMING!"
***
I skipped along the path towards the shores to go swimming. Ava was moping behind me as I touched my toes into the sand.
