PACIFIST

Sans POV

When we arrived in the ruins of the underground where Toriel lived, the kid broke down, she cried and cried into my jacket, I couldn't help but want to console her, so I wrapped her up in my jacket and carried her, after the last of her tears were shed she passed out curled up in my jacket, she couldn't have been more than ten years old yet she was so smart and so strong, to be able to block so many of my Gaster Blasters. When I exited the ruins I walked immediately to my house, for fear of wandering eyes, I knew how the other monsters still felt about humans, I wouldn't let them harm this one, when I opened the door my brother Papyrus greeted me with open arms then shouted when he saw the human in my arms, I shushed him and pleaded with him not to tell Undyne which he sorrowfully agreed to, he went back into the kitchen, probably making spaghetti, I chuckled and carried the kid upstairs, she shifted in my arms, remnants of tears lingered on her face, it sickened me, what her parents had done to her, I laid her down on my bed and covered her up, she seemed so fragile while she was asleep, so small, so kind, the monsters outside I knew would kill her without a thought, I had to protect her.

Frisk POV

I woke covered by a blanket in a bed, I figured I had just had a nightmare and that I was back in my bed, I looked around, nothing looked familiar.. The walls were blue, my bedroom's was white.. The ceiling looked old, very old.. I noticed something was wrapped around me I thought to myself where did this jacket come from, who's is it even? Then I remembered what had happened, I wasn't dreaming, I was in the underground somewhere.. This jacket could only belong to..  !? I fell out of the bed immediately, Sans had appeared in front of me out of nowhere, he grabbed his jacket from the bed and chuckled shrugging it back on, he smiled and told me that dinner would be ready soon and that if I was hungry I could come down and join him.

Papyrus POV

I still don't know why my brother doesn't want me to tell Undyne about the human.. But a promise is a promise, and Sans truly seems to care for this human, so, I, the GREAT Papyrus, shall keep this a secret from Undyne!

Third person POV

Frisk walked down the stairs a few minutes after Sans and Papyrus had begun eating, as soon as Papyrus saw Frisk he yelled from where he was seated,  "HUMAN! I SEE YOU'VE COME TO TRY SOME OF THE GREAT PAPYRUS'S SPAGHETTI! COME! SIT!" Frisk nodded giggling at Papyrus's cheery over enthusiastic mannerism, Papyrus prepared a plate for her as she sat down and she ate heartily, Frisk seemed to really love the spaghetti Papyrus made. She gave a huge thumbs up to Papyrus and smiled at him which made Papyrus all bashful, no one had ever complimented his spaghetti like so before. Sans got up from the table and set his plate in the sink, he signaled Frisk to follow him, as he walked up the stairs. Frisk got up after finishing her plate and set it in the sink, she thanked Papyrus with a hug which he gladly accepted, then she walked up the stairs and into Sans's room, he was sitting on the bed and had a serious look on his face, after she shut the door Sans spoke. "Listen, things in the underground are dangerous for humans right now,  if a monster saw you right now, they wouldn't even hesitate to try to kill you, we've all harbored a great hatred for the humans for a long time, I mean.. Your kind killed Paps and I's father, Gaster." Frisk seemed perplexed by what Sans had just said, her face was riddled with sorrow, "I'm so sorry Sans.." She said to him, but he shrugged, "that was years ago, he wasn't that great of a dad really anyways.. But he's the one who gave us monster's magic, though I'm the only one who remembers him anymore, as well as the king, but what I wanted to talk about before I got sidetracked, is if you really meant what you said, you wouldn't hurt anyone? Even if it meant you would die?" Frisk didn't even take a second to answer, she immediately nodded, "yes, even if it meant I was going to die.. I would rather die than hurt anyone else, even if I didn't know them." Sans was shocked, she'd just declared what he thought he would never hear a human ever say "well, then you're alright in my books kiddo,  but why wouldn't you protect your own life instead of someone else?" Frisk looked down and thought long and hard on how to respond. "I found a book in my Father's collection of spell books one day.. He had thrown out one that looked really old, it had a white cover and I took it to my room, I read through it, it had a lot of spells inside that I couldn't understand, like the barrier that I use.. There was a lot of spells in the book that involved helping others, healing spells, even a spell to heal a fatal wound.. But the last spell caught my eye and it's description, I cast it on myself because I refuse to harm anyone, the spell required a pure heart, determination, and to give up the ability to use any spells of destruction. The spell I used on myself prevents me from, even if I wanted to, harming anyone, it's name is.. Pacifism, I am a pacifist." Sans looked at her in disbelief, she had willingly chosen to give up all her magic that she probably previously had, and only has the spells to help and protect, she had given up so much. "But why?" He couldn't help but wonder and accidentally voiced his question out loud, "because I believe everyone should live in harmony" Sans was at a loss for words, minutes of silence went by, then Sans stood up. "Tomorrow I'll take you to see a good friend of mine, she's always wanted to meet a human like you, I think you'd like her too, you can use my bed to sleep, I'll sleep downstairs on the couch." He walked past her and through the door, "Sans?" Frisk called when he was halfway down the stairs, "yeah kiddo?" He asked "Thank you" Sans nodded and walked back down stairs.

Frisk POV

After Sans went downstairs I tried to sleep but I couldn't, so much had happened and my emotions rushed back up, I cried into the sleeves of my shirt remembering what my parents had done, I fell asleep hours later exhausted from crying.
