I woke up on my hospital bed. The amnesia still has an effect on me. In a sense I felt drowsy and tired. I look to my right to see that the sun was setting. Next to the window I see my mother cuddled up with my brother on a chair that changed into the shape of a bed. They both sleeping next to each other.

When I turn my head to the left I see my dad by my monitor. He was on his phone, while listening to the tv. I moan lightly in order to get his attention. He gets off his phone and turns to me quickly.

"Hey baby girl." My dad says to me. He brushes my hair and it felt so good to me. Made me feel like I was his "baby girl".

My dad's voice woke up my mom and brother. When my mom woke up she rushed to me as if she were awake this whole time. "How are you feeling?" She asks.

Why would you ask that? I have a little bit of amnesia on me, so I feel great. "Good." Is all I can get out.

"Andrew go get the doctor." My mom orders my brother.

Andrew gets off the chair and walks out of the room. I can tell that he's tired because of his eyes. He isn't gone for that long because the nurse was already by my room. He comes back to sit on the couch and pulls out his phone, failing to acknowledge of my existence.

As the nurse enters my room she gets some hand santizer to sanitize her hands. "Hey how are you feeling?' She asks.

What the hell was up with this question? I swear if one more person asks I'm gonna say what I wanted to say the first time.

Before I could even answer the nurse's question, the surgeon, Dr. Ochoa, came into my room. He sanitizes his hands "Hey Luna how are you feeling?"

Fuck it. "I have a little bit of amnesia on me, so I feel great." I say. The surgeon and nurse find it funny. However, my mom gave me the look of death.

After I said that I felt dumb because by the time that I said it the amnesia was already worn off. 'That's just terrific." The surgeon says having a smile on his face.

He stands by the door and the nurse checks on my tempature, pulse, and respiration, TPR is what they call it. As the nurse checks my stats Dr. Ochoa talks about my plan. "Okay, so you won't need to use your mouth to eat, since it hurts when you swallow. However, you are capable swallowing liquids if you would like, but in this case I suggest you get more comfortable with this new way of receiving nutrients.

"So we put in a button that would need an extension it's called a Gastrovascular Tube, or a g-tube, by your lower abdomen. "

He walks over to me and gets near my side. "May I lift your shirt?" He asks. I nod my head. I decide to sit up in order to see what I would be dealing with for most of my life. Once I sit up he lfts up my shirt I see my button. Suprisingly I was shocked because during my freshmen year in high school I was insecure about my body.

The tube is small, but I play with the little extension. I notice it has two holes a small one and a big one. I wonder what they're used for. It feels rubbish and it has two caps for the hole. It also has a clamp and I guess its for food not to get out of me, but I'll let the doctor tell me about it.

Everyone looks at it and my brother is just in awe. My mom and dad have a poker face and I think they are as shocked as I am. "As I said it's connected," the doctor continued "to your lower abdomen and it connected to your stomach and it will complete the normal digestion process.."

"So will I be able to use the bathroom normally?" I ask.

"Yes you should but however your feeding habits will change. Now you will be eating liquids that give you the same nutirents as food would give you.
