Hey guys, I know it's been two weeks, but I was waiting for a mere two comments on the last chapter- which I didn't get. Anyways, I want to say a huge thank you to jordycakes800 for the wonderful comment! It means so much to me!

Alright guys, finally back to Max here.

I'll upload the next part when I get two comments! I believe it's a fairly long chapter so you all have to work for it!

Thanks for being awesome!

The pain came first, ripping through me like fire. Every part of my body screamed. My clothes were soaked with blood. I tried to open my eyes, but only one would open. Through the slit of my eyelids I could see it was getting dark. I had missed our anniversary date.

I don't know how long I lay there, but I watched as a ball, probably lost from some child's grip, rolled down the ally. It slowed to a stop a few feet away. A giggling child ran after the ball and I heard a tired sounding woman calling after it not to go into the ally. The child didn't listen and ran to the ball. It picked the ball up and stood staring directly at me. It was a little girl, her eyes wide and innocent.

I summoned up the last of my strength and managed a raspy breath, "Help... please..." the child's eyes grew huge.

"MUM!!!!" She screamed, running back out of the ally.

The hope drained out of me. I was going to be stuck here, for who knows how long. I closed my eyes, feeling tears escaping and rolling down my cheeks to mingle with the blood on the ground. But then I heard footsteps and a muffled shriek. I pried my eye open and saw a young woman, the little girl clinging to her side. In no time she had called for help, and I was loaded into an ambulance.

Everyone was asking questions, who was I, what happened, could they call my parents? Hands worked all over me, machines beeped, and all around me was chaos. But the only thing I could focus on was Chance.

"Need..." I trailed off, exhausted.

"What?" a young paramedic with soft brown eyes leaned over me, "Hey, mate, I'm right here, what do you need? Hang on," his voice was urgent but comforting.

"Phone..." I couldn't speak any more. Someone, somewhere shoved a phone into my hand. With all my strength, I dialed Chance's number, and then the blackness engulfed me.
