A while later Nico came out of the shower and found Amora on the edge of the bed.

Nico. I thought you would join me?
He said drying his wet hair with a towel.

Amora. It's Lorenzo

Nico. He's texting you? What's going on?

Amora. Well we're both missing now and I left Cher with him

Nico. Wait Cher knows... I'm confused Amora what's going on?

Amora. Before I came here, my roommate... she...

Nico. She what?

Amora. She was murdered, someone broke in our apartment and then Lorenzo found us on the news there at your safe house right now

Nico. They have no idea where you are?

Amora. No but they want me to come home

He said and sat in the bed.

He said under his breath and she lifted her head and met his eyes.

He said almost choking on his words.

She was speechless.

Did he really mean that or was he just caught up in the moment. What would she do? Stick around and help him run the syndicate? She didn't know anything about that. They would never have the type of relationship where they could come home and say "Hi honey how was the flower shop today?" "Oh it was good babe, did you kill anyone today?"
It just couldn't happen.

He said getting up from the bed.
Nico. It is already the afternoon, tomorrow morning we leave for home.

She replied and then Nico walked out of the room. He was right what the hell was going to happen when they got back? Someone was still looking for her and she didn't want to tell Nico and worry him. He has a lot on his plate as it is.

Later that night they awkwardly sat across the table eating dinner.

Amora. I don't want our last night to be like this

Nico. I'm sorry I'm just thinking about all the stuff and all the people I will have to face when I go back

Amora. You're one of the most feared bosses in the world and you're afraid of a few glances when you come back?
