Awake

Lorenzo. Amora! I let you sleep all day you need to eat okay?

No response.

Lorenzo. Amora? I'm coming in

He opened the door and the bed was empty, the bathroom door was open and so was the window.

Lorenzo. What?! Amora!!!
He called.

He looked at the bed and saw the laptop, he quickly ran over to it opening it revealing the messages that she read.

Lorenzo. Nico?
He said under his breath. Then his eyes got wide.

Lorenzo. Nico you sneaky son of a bitch!
He said grabbing his coat and slamming the front door on the way out.

He got in the car and started driving to Alison's knowing he would see Amora on the way. Why didn't she tell him though? Maybe she thought he would try to stop her? It was true. He didn't even know if this meant that Nico was alive and he knew that she had her hopes up. Driving fifteen minutes he saw her walking by the side of the road with his phone in her hand probably using the GPS.

Lorenzo. It will take you years to get there at this rate

She snapped her head around to see Lorenzo pulled over to the side of the road.

Lorenzo. Well come on before I get a ticket

She ran to the car and got in.

Amora. You know?

Lorenzo. Why didn't you tell me?

Amora. I knew you would try to stop me and I had to see I had to know Lorenzo

Lorenzo. I know, we will see, I just don't want you to get your hopes up

Amora. I know, let's just go

He could already tell by the way she was acting, that she already had her hopes up to see him.

It took them a couple of hours to get there. It was dark already and Amora was half awake, she was trying so hard to stay awake.

Lorenzo. Amora we here, please stay close.
He had pulled up in front of the restaurant since the "event" was supposed to happen in the ally.

Lorenzo. Stay close
He made sure to reinforce to her before she got out of the car and she nodded.

He grabbed his gun and they out peered around the corner. Two men stood face to face. About 50 feet away from each other. In the shadows she couldn't make out faces.

Amora. Can you see who they are?

Lorenzo. Shhh
He said to keep her quiet.

... I didn't think you would show.
One man said with a deep voice.

Then a street light suddenly came on. Revealing Mylon and Nico.

Amora. Nico..
She said under her breath.

Lorenzo took his free hand and covered her mouth.

Nico. Yeah I showed

Mylon. You look like shit man
He chuckled.

Nico. Yeah well by the end of this you'll look a lot worse than me

Mylon. I'm sorry Nico
He said pulling a gun.

Mylon. But I don't play fair

Amora. No!!!!
She ran away from Lorenzo.

She didn't particularly know what was running though her mind when she broke free but all she could think was how she would feel losing Nico all over again. She couldn't bare to watch him die. To feel that pain all over again.

Right before Mylon fired his gun Amora jumped in front of Nico. Taking a bullet for him.

Mylon. What the hell!?

Lorenzo. Amora no!
He said running from behind the corner after her.

Nico stood there in shock his eyes wide. He left her. He watched her leave that lake without him how did she end up here.
The bullet hit her back and she fell to the ground.

Lorenzo saw Mylon about to raise his gun again but he shot him in the shoulder. Nico got down beside her.

Nico. No this wasn't supposed to happen no!
He was saying as she gasped for air.

Nico. Amora baby!
He said with tears running down his face.

Lorenzo. Go finish Mylon, I have the car I'm taking her to the hospital.

He picked her up off the ground got in the car and sped off. Nico picked up his gun and aimed it at Mylon's face.

Nico. This is for my family
He shot Mylon in the face and  ended his life once and for all then what did he do. He ran all twelve miles to the hospital where his love was.

A week later.

The sun didn't feel like the sun today. There was something unordinary. Something beautiful. Like a sweet deadly bliss in the air. But something didn't shake the feeling that something was missing something didn't feel right.

He had been watching the grass waving in the wind.

Amora. I missed you baby
She said standing behind him kissing his neck.

Nico. My love
He said wrapping his arms over hers.

Amora. Kiss me Nico

He turned around and kissed her on the lips.

Amora. We have to go

Nico. What?

Amora. We have to go
....
Lorenzo. Nico we have to go
He said shaking Nico from his daydream. He had been envisioning her. As he stood in front of her coffin.

Nico. My love
He said as they lowered her coffin to the ground.

Nico. Forever my love.
