"Do you want me to talk to him?" Gemma was sitting next to me on the couch, giving me a concerned look.

"No," I shook my head. "He will talk to me when he is ready. If I'm even here when he decides he is."

"Bloody hell, this man! Why does he have to be so stubborn?! Doesn't he realize he is causing you stress by doing this?" She reached forward grabbing her tea from the table. "He is my favorite person, but I don't like him much right now."

I let out a sigh. "Really Gem, I don't think I want to talk to him right now. It's all been so much....and now this? I think I'm going to go to my Mother's for a while." That's what I need. Time to think and clear my head some.

"No! That's the worst thing to do. You two need to talk about this! Now is not the time for you guys to push something like this to the side," she took my hand trying to get me to sit back down.

"I agree with her, please don't leave. Give him some time," Anne said to me. "I am in no way excusing his actions because he is my son, but I know him. And he loves you."

"I know he loves me. And I love him, but he has had more than enough time to explain himself! Instead he wants to hide in the guest room and avoid me. How do you think that makes me feel?!" I stood up again getting my purse and car keys. "You can tell him whatever you want when he decides to man up and come down. I need to get out of here."

"She is more than two hours away from here, Yolanda. I don't feel comfortable with you driving that far by yourself...with the current circumstances," Anne walked over to me.

"I will go with her. Regardless, you're my bestfriend and I will be here for you," Gemma gathered some of her things. "If you are insisting on this, lets go."

I nodded my head. "Ok."

"Be careful please. I love you both, very much. Let me know if anything comes up," Anne gave us a hug.

"We will, Mum. I love you." Gemma said.

"Love you too, Anne," I closed the door behind me.

"I'm driving!" She grabbed the keys. "Just put the address in your GPS so I don't take us across country," Gemma laughed.

At this point I wouldn't even care. "Wouldn't matter to me," I shrugged.

She gave me a sympathetic smile. "Are you sure you want to go to your Mum's, or just go somewhere to relax?" We buckled in and she was adjusting the mirrors. "I just know that you probably really don't feel up to explaining everything to her right now, but she was your first thought of a place to get away."

She's right. "You know me so well," I shook my head. I didn't want to, or even have the energy for that conversation right now. "Where to then? I don't know any else besides Niki--"
