As the long and harsh years passed, nothing seemed to change.

War was still a problem, and the once grand land was still at a burdened state. To the point, where it was about to crumble in self-pity.

The young troll girl sighed heavily, her desires longing for more than what her current life is providing her now. She wanted peace. She wanted harmony for both the trolls, AND the land.

Her loving mother always spoke of the land in a soothing tone, implying that the area she walked on as a grub was as gentle and as marvelous as god himself.

But as time seemed to progress, her once gentle mother turned into the scornful, elderly woman that she knew and loved today and forever more.

Even if the girl's mom had grown brutal in the last couple of sweeps, she knew it wasn't her fault. It was the war's. The war's unacceptable ways have burdened the generation of today, which angered most. But surprisingly, saddened them more than it actually angered them.

The cruel lifestyle that the current generation of trolls have to live is very cruel and brutal, so much in fact, that 50% of the population rates dropped heavily in the last year.

Even though the world seemed to speak against the girl and everyone of her species, she still remained positive. She had to remain positive, the girl had no other option BUT TO sustain high spirits.

And with step she takes, she will remain that way. Stuck in a world that seems to go against her and all her people, but remaining positive through the negative.

And with this positiveness, came This girl's eagerness to adventure.

Oh how this little troll girl loved to explore, it most definitely was and still is, one of her favorite things to do.

But, unfortunately, the only way to participate in such an activity, was to get a job as a messager.

And so, that's exactly what the girl did.

She became a messager.

A young, pleasant messager. Ready for anything, ESPECIALLY adventure.

"Aradia!" A croaky voice sounded from two doors down, alarming the half-awake troll.

"Yes, Mother?" Aradia called back, replying to her mother's urgent call for assistance.

"You're going to be late for work! It's already 9:26!"

Aradia's eyes widened in shock as she turned to her trusty, wooden alarm clock.

Yet again, the old woman was right. It was 9:26, and Aradia WAS going to be late if she didn't spring out of her recupercoon this rightful instant!

Aradia leaped out of her recupercoon, and headed south of her house; where the bathrooms were located.

Aradia hastily took her old, woren out brush and combed it steadily through her big, fluffy, black locks. Having Aradia's hair would put a pain in anyone's neck, especially a low blood. But luckily for Aradia, she was pretty tough, so nothing seemed to stand in her way. Aradia looked in the dusty mirror with a shimmering smile, making sure to give thanks for both her hair AND her lovely pearly whites. "Anyday you still look young is a good one. Be thankful" her mother once told her, and with that single sentence, The troll girl has managed to keep it in mind, making Aradia's life go smoother.

The rust-blooded troll rushed out of the bathroom and into the living room; where the front-door was located. Aradia didn't even check to make sure anything else was in place, let alone her clothes, before she quickly scrambled out of the threshold of the front-door entrance-way.

Aradia paced herself down the cobbly sidewalks of Earth Kingdom as she made her way to her morning post. The 3rd guard tower to the right.

As the guard tower came into view, Aradia looked around for the Kingdom's 67'4 clock that worked on a usual schedule. Fortunately for the young girl, she managed to spot the clock and check the time.

"9:37. Just great." The girl scoffed to herself as she ran, making her way to the entrance of the nearby building; at which she was designated to.

Aradia burst through the almost-broken door as if she was running from a pack of clowns, her face pale with relieve as she slid down the door, that she had recently just closed, in beckoning recongization that she had made it to her assigned area. And just in time, too.

"Almost late again, Aradia. That's the 3rd time this week." A cocky fella snarled sarcastically, drooping his head off to the side in unacted upon concern.

The unfamiliar boy looked at Aradia with unamused eyes, signaling that this was her usual behavior, and he had seen it many times before.

Aradia groaned playfully, a small smirk appearing on her small, rounded face. "Well at least I try to get here on time!"

The man who had consulted Aradia earlier about her lazy habitats groaned loudly, just like Aradia, but unlike Aradia; more sincere.

"That was one time, ok!" The angry man shouted, a silent trail of undeniable laughter lingering after his previous statement.

Aradia rolled her eyes as her smirk grew wider. "ONE time?"

"ONE TIME?"

"If I had a dollar for everytime you showed up 30 minutes late for work, I'd be a millionaire, Sollux."

Sollux rolled his eyes in response to her eye motions.

"Yea, yea, whatever...." Sollux mocked, gently nudging Aradia in the elbow as a playful-type of motive to their conversation.

Aradia giggled as she gradually sat up from her previous position, attempting to make her way over to the physical figure of Sollux.

Unfortunately for the rust-blood, she was interrupted from her motives by the nearby intercom.

"Aradia Megido, report for major duty at the castle. I repeat, Aradia Megido, report for major duty at the castle."

Aradia's expression slowly faded from happy to curious.

Sollux's facial expression did the same thing, with a tiny twist. He turned over to look back at Aradia, cocking up an eyebrow in burning curiousity. "What did you do now?"

Aradia's frozen position denied her access to responding to Sollux's question, so she laid there still, trying to Comprehend what they might be asking of her.

But, Sollux only kept going on.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Sollux urged on, curious himself of what was being asked of her. "Go on!"

Aradia didn't even turn back to Sollux to give him a second glance, therefore, she kept her focus on the most difficult to comprehend, yet simple, question.

What were they asking of her?
