Part 2: Unpredictable

"Whats gotten into you? Are you hungry or something..?"
Steven asked and walked to the fridge, taking out a lion licker. He opened the package and walked back to Lion, offering it to him.

"Here. You'll feel better.."
Lion turned to him, his eyes glowing white. He growled at him again, more agressivly than the last growl.
Scared, steven ran out of the temple. He was so confused and scared that he had totally forgotten about Connie's phone in his pocket.

He stayed outside for about an hour, he was worried that Lion would act up again if he went back inside. He just sat there alone, and then noticed a small boat in the distance.

"The gems are back!"
Steven said to himself with a smile, standing up. As the gems arrived back to the shore, they got off the boat, greeting Steven.

"Guys, there's something wrong with Lion!"
Steven was worried that they would get too freaked out and try to do something to Lion; especially pearl.

"What's he doing?"
Pearl asked, walking to the temple to see what Steven meant.

"He was acting really weird and was growling at me."
Steven, Garnet and Amethyst followed Pearl into the temple, where lion was sitting, facing the wall and huffing.

"Oh im sure hes fine."
Pearl reassured Steven, as he walked to Lion.

"Lion...?"
Steven placed a hand on his back, before Lion turned around and growled, his teeth showing. Garnet quickly grabbed Steven before Lion could attack.

"Woah, someones angry!"
Amethyst shouted, summoning her whip.

"I knew we should've gotten rid of this thing earlier!"
Pearl yelled also, summoning her spear.

"Wait!!"
Steven squirmed out of Garnet's arms to run in front of Pearl and Amethyst.

"There's obviously something wrong with him! He needs help!"
He exlaimed but got interuppted by Lion who nudged him to the side, staring straight at Pearl who had her spear out pointing at Lion. He charged towards pearl, his eyes glowing white as he leapt towards her. But Lion had leaped on the spear instead. It almost looked like it was on purpose, but why would he do that?
The spear pierced his chest, and all of the gems watched the lion fall over in disbelief.
