Steven ran over to Lion, tears in his eyes. Before he could hug him, the lion's body disappeared, along with Pearl's spear. A bunch of items that Steven had left inside Lion's mane had fallen to the ground and so did a familiar pink gemstone. It had a pentagon shape in the middle and was round; just like Steven's gem. He picked up the gem gently, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Lion's a Rose Quartz..?"
He sniffled and examined the gem, and then looked at the items scattered on the floor.

"Steven, give me the gem."
Garnet told him with her hand out so Steven would give it to her. Steven hugged the gem and shook his head.

"Im not letting you bubble him!"
He said and stood up, holding the gem.

"Wait...Garnet...what if shes a gem like us?"
Pearl said picking up Rose's items that were previously inside the mane.

"What if its Rose?!"
Amethyst shouted with a gasp.

"Dont be ridiculous Amethyst."
Garnet said and stopped to think, turning back to Steven.

"Take good care of the gem. And when she reforms, don't let her get near you unless we're with you."
She said, adjusting her visor.

"Okay. I will."
Steven nodded and ran off to his room, putting the gem on a pillow.

"Please be okay.."
He whispered to the gem, worried that his pet could be gone for good.
