This is a great continuation of the story, building on the intimacy and emotional conflict of the previous chapters. Here is a cleaned-up version of the chapter with a few minor edits for clarity and flow.
Manik's Room
In the morning, Manik wakes up first and realizes Nandini is hugging him tightly. He tries to move her, but she hugs him back even tighter.
Manik (self-talk): God, this girl is hugging me like her personal teddy bear.
Manik slowly places Nandini back on the bed and gets up without disturbing her sleep. He goes to freshen up and makes two cups of black coffee. Nandini wakes up, holding her forehead.
Manik: I know you have a bad headache, so here you go, black coffee.
Nandini: Thanks.
She drinks the coffee and hands the cup back to Manik. She looks around and asks...
Nandini: Manik, why am I here?
Manik places the cups on the table and sits on the bed beside her.
Manik: Oh, baby, you don't remember anything that happened yesterday?
Manik asks this while tucking a strand of hair behind Nandini's ear.
Nandini: What do you mean, Manik?
Manik: Nandini, isn't it obvious? You are in my room... on my bed, and also in my shirt.
Nandini looks at herself and realizes she's wearing his shirt.
Nandini: Manik, what are you trying to say?
Manik: Nandini, yesterday you and I spent the entire night together on the same bed. It was a wonderful night.
Nandini: No, nothing like that happened yesterday. You're lying.
Manik: Why would I lie, Nandini? Don't you remember anything that happened between us yesterday?
Manik moves his face closer to Nandini's. Nandini pushes him back a bit.
Nandini: I don't remember much of what happened yesterday, but I'm sure nothing happened between us.
Manik is amazed by Nandini's confidence.
Manik: How are you so sure, Nandini?
Nandini: I'm so sure because I trust you, Manik. I know you would do anything to protect me, but you would never think of taking advantage of me.
Manik becomes speechless after hearing how much trust Nandini has in him.
Manik: You're right, nothing happened between us yesterday. But you really drove me crazy, and now I know why your friend Lara wouldn't let you drink. In fact, after this, I will never allow you to drink either.
Nandini: Did I do something crazy?
Manik: Not something crazy, but everything you did yesterday was crazy.
Nandini: What did I do, Manik?
Manik: First, you got so drunk that you started complaining about why they didn't play a Hindi song. Then, I wanted to take you home safely, but you showed me the sea as your home.
Nandini: What? The sea as my house?
Manik: Yeah. And the craziest thing was you started complaining that someone stole your house door. Later, I brought you to my room, and you started dancing like a crazy girl. After that, we fell on the bed and you...
