seungkwan woke up on his bed, trying to recall what happened before he fell asleep. he saw a note next to him and although his vision was blurry due to the luminous sunlight, he could just tell that it was soonyoung's messy writing that even soonyoung's own mother couldn't read.

yeri's back. but don't go to her, she said that she didn't want to see you... seulgi will look after her. i deserve a reward for finding her, am i right?

seungkwan scoffed at the last statement. a reward from the seungkwan? most likely not.

he walked out from his room, wincing in pain as he moved his legs and shivered at the encounter with the cold wooden floor. he opened the door just as yeri walked past his room.

"yeri!" he shouted her name and ran up to her despite of his aching leg.

he pulled her into a hug, he missed her scent and smooth hair, he missed her so much. he pulled away to look at her in the eyes, but he could only see fear and hurt in them. what he never wanted to see from her.

without saying anything, she turned around and left as quickly as possible.

yeri was mad, but she was more disappointed. she had learn to trust him and to rely on him and she thought he could change her life. in fact he did, just not the way she excepted him to.

he didn't follow her immediately like what she had expected, but she was glad because she was definitely not ready to even speak to him.

"what are you doing? you're going to get sick," as yeri looked up, a jacket was thrown right into her face.

"thanks soonyoung," she forced a smile. she wasn't even in the mood to argue with soonyoung.

"go talk to him," soonyoung said, sitting next to her on the stairs.

"no," she replied with a short and stern answer.

"you say that but you do want to talk to him," soonyoung said as a matter-of-fact.

"leave me alone," yeri said quietly.

although they're technically friends now, she still found it hard to confront him due to the intimidating glares she used to receive from him.

"you know it's rude to not look at the person when you're speaking?" soonyoung said.

yeri looked up at him unwillingly only to find him centimetres away from her.

"go," he said. his sharp eyes expressed an unreadable expression, she wanted to run away.

and she did.

"oh you're back!" seulgi said, gesturing yeri to sit down on her bed as she walked in, her expression was filled with gratitude and sadness- if yeri interpreted it correctly.

"yeri, i have a favour," seulgi said seriously, unlike her usual relaxed-self. "can you please make seungkwan happy again?"

"w-why me?" yeri pointed to herself unbelievably.

"you know already yeri, he likes you and i'm glad that he found the person he wanted to be with," seulgi replied broken-heartedly. tears were forming in her eyes and that's when yeri realised.

seulgi really likes seungkwan.

yeri just couldn't understand. how can seulgi be willing to do so much for the sake of a boy who doesn't love her back?

"ask yourself yeri, are you able to stop loving him just because of a stupid lie he kept to himself to protect you?" seulgi asked, placing her hand on her chest. "feel your heartbeat, it still speeds up whenever you think of him, right?"

"even if it does, i won't be able to forget-"

"it's not about forgetting yeri, it's about forgiving. he's sorry for it and he never meant it that way. look at you, aren't you much happier now compared to before?"

seulgi smiled as yeri became speechless, "stop hesitating and go speak to him. you'll be able to make yourself happy too."

her mind was in the state of confusion, she wanted to forgive him, but would she be able forget the painful past he caused for her?
