if she was to think of one thing that she wished had never happened, there wouldn't be one.
not when she had been thrown around like an old toy by everyone else, not when people would humiliate her in front of everyone else.
she hated it, that was for sure. she wished that she could disappear. but now, she cannot help but think
thank god everything happened.
she didn't believe in perfection, but she believed that there were levels of being close to perfect. and she knew clearly that she would be at the last level, or the second last if she's feeling generous.
but she was grateful that the boy had made her realise, not everything is as about the appearance, not everyone chooses to love 'the people on the top level'.
most importantly, she learnt that everyone is in the same position. no one is above or below another. people were too busy fighting to become the one and only definition of perfection and had forgotten the existence of happiness.
she wanted to thank the boy who woke her up from the impossible dream and to allow her to see clearly that happiness had always been beside her.
the boy who pulled her out of the dystopian fantasy: boo seungkwan

soonyoung and seulgi never got together, but yeri was positive that they would've been such a great couple if they were to.
soonyoung would always let her copy his notes because she tends to fall asleep in class, but one day, he just stopped giving her his notes all of a sudden. he would also get pissed at her randomly.
if guys have periods, that would probably be it.
recently, she started to receive small yellow post-it notes inside of her locker. they were cute little notes that make her day and she looked forward to receive them everyday.
but she just couldn't work out who. they weren't from seungkwan because his writing was a lot neater than the writing on the post-it notes.
she once asked seulgi if she has feelings to soonyoung, seulgi only laughed and answered something else.
"he has a new crush, you'll never guess who she is!" seulgi said.
"who?" she asked desperately, who would be able to replace seulgi's place in his heart.
"don't worry about it. focus on seungkwan or he'll get jealous," seulgi winked.
"fine! but really do you have the slightest feeling for him?"
"maybe. he waited for me for so long, too long, so i'm willing to do the same," seulgi responded.
it brought a smile to her lips, it was one of the great things she discovered about seulgi.
she never found out who was listening to their conversation, she was still curious till this day. not that it mattered though.
boo <3: yeri!! come meet me at the usual place after school, i've got something to say to you
received 2:45pm.she turned around to see seungkwan, who was sitting at the other end of the classroom. his smile as bright as ever.
yeri: sure, what's so important?
sent 2:45pm.boo <3: secret :')
received 2:46pm.she tuned around once again with a pout, he smiled even wider- if that was possible.
boo <3: ahh stop doing that, you're making my heart flutter!!
receives 2:46pm.her face flushed red. after all this time, she still gets embarrassed by his fluffy words.
after school, she went straight to their usual place, the beach. she walked quickly and hummed one of her favourite songs, a song that seungkwan loves to sing to.
she sat down on the beach they always sit on and waited until someone covered her eyes from behind.
"hey seungkwan," she chuckled at his playful entrance.
"close your eyes," he said. his white teeth showing as he grinned.
she looked at him as she raised an eyebrow, "what are you up to now?"
"don't ruin the fun!" he whined as she sighed in defeat.
she closed her eyes and anticipated, she felt a thin string of cold metal touching her neck and smiled.
"open your eyes."
she did as she was told and opened her eyes and he was only inches away from her, her face flushed red as she tried to lean back. without a warning, he leaned forward and connected their lips.
"what was that!" she covered her face embarrassedly as he laughed, she then looked down at the necklace, "why is it a star?" she picked up the small sparkly silver-coloured star and smiled.
"because you, kim yeri, is the brightest star in my world."
