I'm still here

Chapter 7

Within a second Lily disappeared.
What just happened was too difficult to comprehend.

Did I just have a vision?
Why would Lily commit suicide?
And why could only I see Arthur and Lily if they were dead.

I knew Wendy has got something to do with Arthur but I still don't have a clue about Lily.

I quickly grabbed the adoption papers and went home.
Without speaking much I went to my room.

I had no idea as to what I was supposed to do with the adoption papers.
Year 1850. I don't know if this orphanage still exists.
Well maybe it does.
Sunshine Home for Kids
That's what the name read.

I looked for the address.
It was written in small letters as a foot note.
I quickly saved this address in my phone.

I was too tired, both physically and mentally.
I decided to visit that orphanage the next day.

There I was, lying on my bed. Clueless.
Hopeless.
My friends, well who I thought were my friends, were actually dead.

But that day when Lily and Arthur were here and Lily fainted, Dad could also see them.
So I'm not the only one.
Basically whoever lives in that or this house can see them.

I thought of showing these photographs and adoption papers to Dad but he wouldn't believe me.
Also it wasn't a strong proof.
I knew what I saw.
But for him it could be photos kept in an abandoned building for a mere prank.

I have no one.
Mom and Hadley are still possessed. They seem normal now but I know Wendy and Amelia are here.
Grandpa and Grandma would also get worried.
I know Granny will trust me but I don't want to bother her.
Tara is dead.
Lily and Arthur do not exist.
Great!

Father Edward!
How could I forget him?
I need his help.
I quickly ran downstairs.
"Granny?"
"Yes Lisa?"
"Do you have any idea where Father Edward lives?", I asked.
"Yes I know the address but why?", she asked.

"Actually like you know Tara died and her mom wants some priest to visit their house once. I know the rites and rituals have been performed but she just wants to see some priest. She told this to me this morning. I went to visit her just to know how she was.", I lied.

"Okay. I'll give you the address", Granny said.
"Thanks", I said with a smile.

So, the next day,instead of going to school I would be going to the Orphanage and Father Edward's house.

I had my plans sorted.
It was almost 7p.m.
Dad was out for work. Granny, Grandpa were also out to buy some groceries.
Hadley was sleeping.

I went to mom's room.
"Mom?"
"Yes?", she said with a cold expression.

I miss her.
I want her back.
I knew she was possessed yet I couldn't control myself.
I just went and hugged her.
"Mom I miss you. I love you. Please come back", I said crying.

"I'm here Lisa. I'm always there for you", she said.
I just stepped back.
I was so happy.
"Mom? You're here!", I exclaimed.
"Go to your room now", she said with no emotion on her face.

I knew it was Mom when i hugged her.
I could make that out from her voice.

"Amelia?", I said.
She looked up.
"You'll have to leave her.", I said.
Mom didn't say a word.
She was just laughing.

"Get me Arthur or I'll kill her"

How am I supposed to bring a spirit?
And why was Wendy upset when Arthur came into that house?
Not that I could do anything.
Arthur is already dead.
There's no way I can bring him here.
