I'm still here

Chapter 16

I didn't know how to react.
Granny lay there lifeless.

I just went and sat beside her.
"Granny, please don't leave me.", I said sobbing, hoping she could hear.

Grandpa sat on the floor.
He was too broken.
Dad was crying too.

All of this happened because of me.
I brought Arthur here.
It was so stupid of me.
Granny died because of me.
I won't be able to forgive myself ever.

"What the hell do you want? Take me if you want to but just leave them", I screamed into air before breaking into sobs again.

"Lisa. Calm down", Dad said.

"No. I won't", I screamed again, "what the hell does she want dad? We didn't do anything wrong with her.  Yes you damn bitch Wendy, I'm not scared of you."

"Wait. Where's Molly?", Dad asked.

Mom was nowhere to be seen.
Dad immediately rushed out of the room to find her.
Grandpa wasn't able to stand the sight of Granny's lifeless body anymore.
He left the room as well.

I sat there holding my Granny's hand.
Just when she opened her eyes.
But they weren't her eyes.

"I told you not to mess with me", she said.
"You wanted Arthur, I brought him here. Yet you couldn't do anything. You are so weak Wendy. You can just harm those who are alive.", I said.

She started laughing.

"You all are gonna die soon.", she said and closed her eyes.

I heard the doorbell ring.
It must be Father Edward.
But he couldn't do anything now.
Granny was already dead.

I went outside.
"Father, she killed Granny", I said crying.
"What? But how did this happen?", he asked.

"I brought Arthur here so that Wendy would react and then Dad would believe me. I- I thought that will help us. I was so wrong", I had no clue what I was saying.

"Lisa. Calm down. It isn't your fault", Father said.
"I don't know where Mom is. She just disappeared."

"We'll find her. Don't worry.", he said.

Just then I saw Dad coming downstairs.
"She is nowhere. I have checked each and every room", Dad said.

I couldn't take it anymore.
I went to my room, took out the ouija board from the closet and tore it into pieces.
"Rot in hell you bitch", I screamed.

"Lisa. Stop. Don't do that", Father Edward said.
I didn't realise that he was there as well.

"What should I do then?", I asked.

"We have to go to your previous house.", he said.

Grandpa stayed with Hadley while Me and Dad went to our previous house with Father Edward.
I wasn't scared of that place anymore.
Dad looked for Mom in each and every room but I headed straight towards the attic.

I had to carry a torch with me because the bulb in the attic wasn't working
It was really dark.

"Mom are you there?"

"Are you there?", I repeated.

There was no response.
I used my torch to look around the attic when something caught my attention.
It was the same Ouija board and the crystal was at 'Yes'.
