Jay's POV (btw, this is gonna mostly be walker and jay talking soooo.....)
J: Jay
W: Walker
______
W: Hey jay! i got your cafe latte for you. you seemed like you were tense today, something wrong?
J: uh...yeah, actually. um...listen, i've gotta make this quick because i need to go to the cemetery, but.....it's...t-today is the anniversary of my parent's dying. And...
W: i'm so sorry jay, i know you get tired of people saying that, but i really am.
J: thanks Walker. i'm thankful to confide in you.
W: if i didn't know any better, i thought you were trying to friend-zone me...
J: no, not friend-zone. just happy to have you on my side.
W: if you want, i could drive you.
J: nah. super speed remember?
W: oh yeah...keep forgetting about that...
J: would you mind getting my cafe latte to go?
W: not at all.
He smiled at me as I stood up from the table and he stood up with me and went to the counter. I was walking out when someone bumped into me and slipped a note into my hand as they walked in. I looked down at the note and it said:
"bring your little sidekick with you to the alley behind Catco. 10 pm."
As soon as I read it, I turned around and walked up to Walker. I tapped him on the shoulder and showed him the note explaining that it was probably a bunch of thugs wanting a fight. He said that just in case, he's calling Hank and telling him. I walked towards the door and Walker was right behind me, following right on my heels. The thought of my parent's anniversary completely gone and replaced with questions as to who these people were that wanted a fight. Were they humans that were just itching for a brawl? If so, why me? Did they know about my 'situation'? Or are they alien, like me? Have they been hunting me? For how long?
These thoughts swirled in my mind as we were walking down the street. Apparently Walker was talking to me, but I didn't notice. It was probably about his new girlfriend. He has one every week. We rounded the corner and I almost bumped into someone. I looked up at them to say sorry when I realized who it was.
"Watch where you're going eh sunshine?"
