it was Friday and it has already been a bad start. A bad week especially for me. Knowing that Calum didn't want me as his girlfriend or something. Lunch came by and I walked into the cafeteria. I walked past Calum, my eyes meeting his. He smiled at me but I rolled my eyes and scoffed whilst walking away rudely. For the whole morning, I've been trying to avoid him. I met Michael and Ashton in the morning since I was waiting for the elevator. Calum came standing behind them and I quickly said goodbye then making my way towards the stairs and went to the parking lot. Taking my bike.

Today, I looked like a bruise. I was using a pair of black skinnys and a black tank top. Also my red leather jacket with my usual combat boots. Jai, my brother haven't called since Tuesday. And I need him so badly. But I had to be considerate because he has his own problems too. I was now in the lift making my way towards my apartment. I heard someone cleared he's throat.

Assuming it was either Michael or Ashton, I turned.

But instead, I met him again.

My 'long-lost' best friend.

"Riley." he greeted. I looked at him my eyes wide opened.

"L-luke?" I stuttered.

"What are you doing here?" he questioned.

"I-I'm studying here at Weehawken." I said.

"Oh." he simply replied. "Wanna hang out and talk?" he asked.

"S-sure." I stuttered once more. Why was I feeling nervous?

Luke was my ex best friend that I made out with. We were great friends then. "How's everything?" he asked as he embraced me. I hesitated but hugged him later on.

"Great I guess?" I said as my hand reached for his waist, wrapping itself around.

"I missed you." He whispered into my ear. I took a deep breath and smelled his cologne that was spear mint and fresh coffee. I missed his scent.

"Same here too." I chuckled, feeling much comfortable now.

"So hows your love life?" he asked out of the blue.

"Complicated?" I shrugged. as I broke our hug.

"I missed you so much." He softly whispered into my ear. Then kissing my cheeks. "Too much it hurts." He laughed softly. My heart softened and I caught him staring at my lips.

And that's when our lips met.

Again.

I was tired and I needed some rest. I excited the elevator and saw them. Riley and Luke kissing in the middle of the elevator lobby. In between our doors. They stopped and looked at me. I glared at Riley and my face soften when I looked at Luke. I smiled softly but stomped my way towards our door, unlocking it. Leaving it open. And stomping towards my room, slamming my door shut. A few seconds later a soft knock was heard and the girl I fell in love with stood there.

I knocked on the door softly and it opened afterwards. My eyes meeting the boy of my dreams. His eyes were a darker shade of brown than before and his brow furrowed, but soften a little. "Can I come in?" I asked and he shook his head 'no'. "Please?" I begged and he sighed deeply. He raised his arm signaling me to close the door. I did as told and walked over to him. Looking at him and adoring him like when we were on the plane.  "I'm sorry." I started. He looked at me in the eyes.

"I fucked up." Calum replied. "I should be sorry." He said. I smiled and hugged Calum. We separated and he placed a small but gentle kiss on my lips. I kissed back but he pulled away. Maybe he felt uncomfortable?

But, i'll always be appreciating every second of love given by him. And only him.

I came out finding a confused Luke looking at me. I shook my head and opened the door of his apartment wanting to leave. But, Luke wanted to take me out for dinner. It was five in the afternoon. Yes, it was early. But I agreed anyways. Also, despite what Luke has done to me in the past.

Anyways, we needed to do a little catching up about the five years gap.

"Nice place." I said as I looked at Macca's, a place I've longed to go to.

"You used to bring me here whenever I was upset or rather bored and hungry." he shrugged. "so, no biggie." he said as we sat at one of the booths that was towards the end.

"I guess?" I shrugged, completely lost at what we were talking about. All I did was think about Calum. Seeing Luke again was shocking and unprepared. Luke and I promised that if we meet someday, we'd either be lovers or continue as best friends. And if either of us couldn't find a partner, we'd date each other. Which was kind of cliché.

I looked at my phone and it buzzed. I unlocked and read the message.

Hey Ri, I just wanna apologize about the kiss. It was a huge mistake. I'll only treat you as a friend and not more. I didn't mean to break your heart or whatsoever. But I just don't think it'll work for us. You're beautiful and all. But I don't think I'm your type and your my type.

Please forget about the kiss. It meant nothing to me. All I've said in the past was a lie.

My faced dropped and Luke stopped doing whatever he was doing. "Hey," Luke called. I looked up at him. My eyes starting to tear. "You alright?" he asked as he moved to sit beside me.

"Yeah." I said chocking on my words. "I-I need time alone for now." I stuttered as my arms wrapped around Luke. He kissed my forehead softly. "Come by anytime okay?" I said and he gave me a reassuring nod. "I'm just next door anyways." I smiled softly as I stood up and left Macca's not bothering to turn and look at Luke for a last glance. I walked out slowly and looked around. I saw a sign that says, 'Lake Eilden'. I decided to walk there and relax.

The place was beautifully filled with flowers and trees. Greeneries and colorful living things. I'm not the color person. But to me, this looks beautiful.

I breath in deeply smelling the floral smell of the area. I decided to push all thoughts here since it was a peaceful place.

But suddenly, a loud 'bang' was heard. And within seconds, I fell to the ground gasping for air. People started surrounding me.

I could hear someone calling my name. I tried to look and search for the voice.

But that's where it all ended before I blacked out.
