"Need any help?" Jinelle hears Rosetta say from behind her.
"No thanks mama," she says as she turns around. She looks at the scene before her, then the next thing she sees is darkness.

"Jinelle, wake up," she hears her father's voice.
"Papa?" Jinelle asks weakly.
"I am sorry we have to do this, but you must not believe your mate is a vampire."
Jinelle opens her eyes, and sees a strange wolf.
"Elle," Rosetta says "We are sorry we must mate you early, and not to your true mate, but this must be done."
"Mama!" Jinelle screams "This is not right!" She struggles against the restraints.
Logan sticks a rag in Jinelle's mouth and the wolf slowly creeps up to her. He phases into a man and she sees his canines lengthen. He grabs her shoulder and just below her ear then pushes her head so that her neck is exposed. She screams against the gag as he sinks his teeth into her flesh.

"Adrian!" Zachaes can hear his mother screech "There is a werewolf at our front door!"
Before Vivianne can finish her sentence, Zachaes is at the door. He sees his mate's brother, Zeidan at the door.
"Stand down, Mother," Zachaes says "Please, friend, come in."
Zeidan comes in with a look of panic in his eyes as he rushes in.
"What's wrong?" Zachaes asks, feeling the panic in the werewolf before him.
"It's Jinelle," Zeidan spits out "My family is trying to mate her to a different werewolf."
Zachaes lets out a giant roar that brings everyone in the room to their knees. Before anyone can blink, he is out the door.

"Your turn, mate," the strange werewolf growls as he exposes his neck.
Logan removes the gag from her mouth.
"Go to Hell," Jinelle spits.
"Jinelle!" Demitri roars as he pushes his power over her and forces her canines to lengthen.
Jinelle bites her lip so hard that it begins to bleed freely.
Rosetta walks over and forces her daughter's mouth open.
Jinelle's wolf instinctually calls out to her mate. Before she knows it, the chamber door flies open and throws everyone back.
"Get out of my house!" Demitri bellows.
Zachaes forces her mate's father's mouth shut with mind control. He pins everyone up against the wall and walks over to his mate. He undoes the restraints and she flies into his arms. She starts sobbing and clutches his shirt tightly. Seeing his mate like this provokes the beast inside of him.
"I am sorry, my love," he whispers against his mate's silky hair.
In a split second he is in front of the Alpha of the Great River pack.
"You are no longer fit to lead this pack," Zachaes hisses "Your son is now the rightful leader."
Before Demitri can say anything, Zachaes sticks his hand in the Alpha's chest and rips out his heart. He goes through killing everyone in the room, except his mate, who is still sobbing on the floor. He walks over and picks her up.
