"Who I Am"

Jinelle hurries and phases back into her wolf form. She slides back down to the ground and growls at Alexander. He phases into his wolf form and they circle each other, occasionally snapping at each other. Alexander lunges and Jinelle dodges in a professional move. She lunges back and takes a decent chunk out of his shoulder. He retaliates and latches on to her broken leg. She whines in pain and then gives herself over to her wolf.

Zachaes hears the whine of pain from his mate then runs in the direction of the sound. He then hears growling and snapping of jaws. He runs faster and comes to a cave. He slowly walks inside to see a dismantled wolf and his mate with glowing eyes and bared teeth.

"Jinelle?" He asks.

The wolf shakes her head.

"Cosmina?" He asks again.

This time the wolf nods.

"May I have my mate back?"

The wolf nods again then her eyes slightly dull and Zachaes can tell that it is now Jinelle. She tries to run, but she ends up doing an awkward limp then falling. Zachaes picks her up and Jinelle starts snapping at him. He shakes his head and in a matter of minutes, they are back in Zachaes's room.

"Phase back please," Zachaes says, and it was more or less a demand rather than a question.

Jinelle shakes her head and Zachaes scrunches his eyebrows together. "Why won't you talk to me?"

Jinelle limps over to the door and nudges it open. Zachaes tries to follow her but she growls at him. She opens the bond so he can see where she is and limps off. She walks over to Vivianne's room and whines outside the door. Adrian comes to the door and opens it. He jumps back and then looks at her.

"Oh, you must be Jinelle," he says.

Jinelle awkwardly nods then indicates that she wants to go over to the shopping bags. He steps out of the way and Jinelle walks over to one. She picks it up with her teeth and goes back to Zachaes's room. She nudges his leg then nods toward the door.

"You want me to go out?" He asks then thinks for a minute.

You can use the mental bond. He reminds her.

Oh, right. Please go out. I didn't have my phasing clothes on, so I won't have clothes on when I phase back.

I'm you're mate.

And?

I don't mind.

Just go out please.

Zachaes sighs and walks out. He shuts the door and Jinelle phases back. She puts on a violet sweater and a pair of leggings. She walks over to the door and opens it. Zachaes walks in then pulls her over to the bed. He sits her down on the edge of it and looks at her.

"Please talk to me," he pleads.

"I-" Before Jinelle can even get out a sentence, she starts bawling. Normally she wouldn't do this, but she didn't feel the need to be scared to open herself up to her mate.

Zach, I'm sorry I'm such a mess, usually I'm not as emotional as this.

It's okay, love, I only have your best interest in my heart.

Jinelle breathes for a moment and finally composes herself. "I killed my brother."

"Yes, but only to save yourself."
