"There's weird magic here," Jinelle says, shuddering.
Zachaes rubs her arm comfortingly. "I'm sure it's nothing love," he says, even though he can feel it too.
Jinelle looks down at Sophia's sleeping figure and sighs. "Why does our bond seem like it was made for evil?"
"It's because the Great Luna knows that we are strong enough to fight the evil that lurks in this world," Zachaes says "If we don't fight it, who will?"
Jinelle hears the front door close and she perks up. Zachaes puts a hand on her shoulder.
Stay with Sophia.
I will. Stay safe.
With that Zachaes walks down the stairs to see Vivianne.
"Hello," she says casually.
"Where were you?"
"Visiting an old friend."
"Does father know about this?"
"Of course."
Vivianne remembers her conversation with Lilith.
Earlier
"We were an astounding team," Lilith chuckles.
"I don't live that life anymore," Vivianne glares.
"You've said that quite enough, sister."
"Do not call me that."
"It is true, you are my sister."
"By blood. But the evil inside of you shakes me to the core."
Lilith laughs. "If you are afraid of the darkness inside of me, you should be deathly afraid of your own soul."
With that, Lilith struts away and leaves Vivianne to think about that.
Present
"So if I go ask-"
"Stay out of this."
Zachaes is taken aback by his mother's words. She usually isn't that irritable.
"Something's wrong," they hear Adrian coming down the stairs.
Both quickly put on happy faces and turn towards him.
"What do you mean?" Vivianne asks.
Afterwards everyone falls to their knees in agony. Zachaes hears Jinelle scream and he uses his last bit of energy to run up to her. Jinelle is on the floor, rolling in pain, while Sophia still lays sleeping.
Zachaes walks over to Jinelle and holds her while she thrashes violently. He whispers words of comfort as she slowly calms down.
"What's wrong?" Jinelle croaks.
"Somebody in the coven has been cursed by dark magic."

Lilith laughs as she looks at the rabid vampire before her. She and Hades cursed him to hurt the royals. She hopes that it hurt that insignificant hybrid. Hopefully the darkness will kill it.
She flashes to the outside of the mansion, just in time to hear everyone scream, especially the werewolf. Once it quiets down, her sister comes storming out of the house.

Vivianne sees red as she calls out to her sister. She knows that Lilith is outside of the mansion.
