Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived--twice--the one who saved the wizarding world from the terrorist Lord Voldemort. The boy who's hiding in a broom closet avoiding the tall angry sister of his best friend.

"HARRY JAMES POTTER!! YOU'RE DEAD WHEN I FIND YOU!!" He winces at the shrill sound of Ginny Weasley yelling his name around the castle. He presses his ear against the door and listens as her footsteps fade away. They'd only recently broken up, Harry originally said it was because he wasn't ready for commitment. But the truth is that he just honestly wasn't attracted to her, she was too much like a little sister for his liking. He's hiding because he had accidentally let that fact slip to Hermione while Ginny was hidden behind a pile of books in the Eighth year common room. His mistake honestly, he should have checked. But he bolted, the second he saw that red hair appear from behind the almost tottering books.

He yelps when the closet opens and he stumbles forward. He hadn't heard her come back at all. He's lifted up and dragged out by his collar. The red hair that's dangerously close to him makes his face pale rapidly. She's going to kill him, isn't she? Oh, Merlin, he's a dead one now.

"SISTER?!" She yells loudly, Harry winces and nods his head slowly. She breaks out into a smile and he furrows his eyebrows tightly. She roughly shakes his shoulders making him look up into her eyes. "You could have told me you bloody buffoon." Ginny giggles and gently swats his head. Harry rubs the sore spot and shyly smiles back. Harry blinks slowly back, finally comprehending the ironic change of events, she's not mad. She's... happy?

"That was fun, I don't think I've ever seen you run that fast!" Ginny bursts into laughter and Harry smiles back lightly. His eyes flitting over to the flash of blond hair that escapes from the hallway as quickly as it came. He shakes his head and turns back to the startling red instead. Watching her laugh and cry reenacting his terrified face.

"Thanks for the heart attack then." Harry says as Ginny lets go of his shoulders and he takes the opportunity to sling his arm around Ginny's shoulders. She, still coming down from her giggle fit, bursts into more cackling when he has to reach up to get his arm even semi-comfortably on her shoulders. She crouches down mockingly and they walk back to the Gryffindor common room.

"I still can't believe how short you are. I mean you're tiny!" Ginny laughs as Harry pouts, removing his arm and instead crossing them over his chest. They never said it was a bad breakup. Quite the opposite, they're still really good friends. Sure, Ginny was a bit hurt at first but once she saw how truly hurting Harry was she realised it would be the best for both of them.

The walk is quiet only small snippets of conversation every once and a while. They get to the door and Ginny walks in to the Gryffindor tower throwing a smile and a wave over her shoulder before disappearing behind the doors. Harry starts to walkdown to the eighth year common room down by the kitchens. He passes Pansy Parkinson and her smile falters a minuscule bit, but she keeps it anyway. A slight tilt as a nod and they pass ways. He looks at the fading walls, still a bit damaged and dirty. But nonetheless still strong and holding. A few more feet and he's standing in front of a bored man wearing a multicolored tie and a scowl. He stares at the man, waiting for him to look at him. He finally does and let's out a startled gasp before smiling and asking for the password. Harry replies quickly with the password, "Niffler," and he walks in. The scene in the common room is way different in any old ones. All houses have now been conjoined to one. No houses to cause rivalries between the remaining eighth years. He watches Ron and Hermione bicker over one thing or another. Eyes look at him but he only looks back at his friends. He's not as comfortable as he'd like to be. But, at least he's not in danger anymore. Honey slow grins cover the faces of his best friends as they see an unscathed Harry walk in wearing a smile of his own.

"I see you've survived. Good one mate, I was sure she'd have your head for that one." Ron laughs as Harry sits next to him. Harry just rolls his eyes and looks around the room. Blaise and Neville chat in the corner, Lavender and some Gryffindor Harry embarrassingly doesn't know the name of gossip loudly in the middle of the room. He spots a bright blond flop of hair that sits on the other side of the room. He's calmly flipping through the pages of a book, happily oblivious to the rest of the room and the pair of green eyes glued to his soft looking hair.

Draco flips the last page in his book and glances over the top of the cover. His cheeks light up when he briefly catches the eyes of The Boy Who Lived he blushes and rereads the last paragraph of his book over again three times.

When he looks up again Potter is in a heated conversation with the Weasel and Ms. Granger. So, he takes this time to quickly escapes from the room. He walks out of the door and takes his first deep breath again. He loosens the tie around his neck and stares at the ceiling. It's no surprise that his feelings towards the boy wonder are a bit more than that of what could be considered right in anyone's eyes. But, it doesn't faze him as much anymore. If anything it makes the day feel more normal. Wake up, eat, daydream about Potter, go to classes, sleep, repeat. Potter saved him multiple times maybe he's just hit a conundrum. He can't explain it, maybe it's residual feelings of before first year. Reading about him and being so amazed because wow, he defeated the Dark Lord-twice now!

He walks past the kitchens and down the halls. Really no plan, just calmly walking and avoiding the wandering doubt-filled eyes of the younger years. He walks towards the Great Hall but stops when seeing the front doors open. Without think he walks out the front doors. The October air is a bit chilly but it soothes his overheated skin. It's not his fault that Potter makes him hot all over! It's Potter's fault for looking at him!

He just hopes he can keep it under wraps this year. Maybe he'll be nicer and woo the boy, but most likely that won't happen because he's dating Ginny Weasley. And a ferret can't compete with a golden weasel.
