PART FIVE- A Clay x Macy x Kai Crossover Oneshot
Clay's POV
I lifted my head and stood up. I had no reason to be jeal- I mean, protective. It was just an ice-cream! It's not as if anything significant will really happen...
I decided to go for a walk. Maybe that'll help clear my head.
Macy's POV
At first, I was shocked. But I soon relaxed into the kiss. I had found the answer to my question- I did like Kai. And, anyway, it wasn't as if I was cheating on anyone. And it wasn't as if Clay was here to see us...
At that moment, Clay walked past.
You have got to be kidding me.
Maybe he wouldn't notice us...
Unfortunately, no such luck. The bench Kai and I were sitting on was right by the pavement, and, as Clay passed, he locked eyes with me. Then, he stood there, like he was frozen, staring at us with a shocked and hurt expression.
I pushed Kai off and turned to face Clay, even though I had no idea what I was going to say to him.
"Clay.... I... um...."
But he turned and strode away before I could get another word out.
Kai's POV
Macy looked on the verge of tears. I tried to put an arm around her, but she shrugged it off.
"So..." I said quietly, scooting a bit closer to her. "He's what's bothering you?"
She nodded, looking in the other direction.
"Do you like him?"
She shrugged.
"Does he like you?"
Another shrug.
"Do you want to go home?"
She nodded.
"Okay then," I stood up, and we started our journey back to the Fortrex.
I thought while I walked. Macy probably liked Clay, but just didn't realise it until now. And he probably liked her, judging by the pained look on his face when he saw us just now.
That must be why Macy looked so nervous earlier, as if she was about to be caught doing something wrong. It felt like a betrayal to Clay to be hanging around me. And that must have been what she was thinking about earlier as well, when she was so distracted.
But she kissed me back. She must have developed some sort of crush on me in the (very) short time we had known each other. But she probably wouldn't go out with me now.
I was disappointed, but I couldn't do much about it. They had known each other longer, whereas I had just come into her life a few hours ago. Does that seem a bit soon to like someone in that way? Maybe.
If Clay and Macy got together in the end, I would just have to deal with it.
However hard I may find that.

Clay's POV
I moved as fast as I could without actually running. I had to get back to the Fortrex before the storm came and it started raining.
Or, to put it non-metaphorically, before I started crying. It's probably best to just put it out there.
But the tears were threatening to spill over, and I had to get back. Fast. Before anyone saw me.
I started sprinting. Within a minute, the Fortrex came into view. I zoomed up the drawbridge, and barrelled past the chill room, where Aaron and Lance were hanging.
"Hey, Clay-man, you wanna watch our pepper contest rematch? You can judge it! Who do you think is gonna win? It'll be me."
"Not a chance! It'll be me! Hey, where are you going?"
I crashed through the door of my room, flopped face-first onto my bed and started sobbing.
"C'mon bro, we really need a judge. Ava doesn't want to 'dabble in our childish affairs' and Robin's too busy- hey, what's wrong?"
It was Aaron. I shook my head, and crawled under the covers. The bed sagged slightly as Aaron sat down at one end.
"Oh, come on, Borington, it won't kill you to have some fun once in a- oh. Um... what's going on?"
The bed dipped even more as Lance sat down on the side nearest to my head.
"I dunno," Aaron said to him. "I just came up here to convince him to join us and heard him crying."
"Huh," Lance said. A few seconds later, a box of tissues got shoved under the covers towards me.
"Are you gonna tell us what's going on?" he asked.
I hesitated before replying.
"Probably."
