I remember every little thing she did when we first met, the way she tucked her hair behind her ear, her laugh, her smile, her dirty jokes, I just can't believe she's mine.

My mom woke me up by clapping loudly next to my ear and placing her cold hand on my chest which made me cover my bare chest why is she always like this when it comes to waking up?

"Mom...please, I'm only in my boxers.." I groaned, rubbing my eyes as she sighed "Colby, I'm your mother...I've seen way more then just your chest"

"Mom!" I slammed my head back down onto the warm and friendly pillow I don't wanna go to school UGHHH

I looked up where the window was, it wasn't snowing anymore. I sat up and made my way to the clothes draw in the left corner of my grey and aesthetic room, pulling out: black jeans, a dress shirt and my red tie.

Of course I had to wear a beanie and my favorite necklace. I pulled on the outfit and fixed my fringe, I winked to myself in the mirror before getting my bag and walking downstairs.

I always thought that school was plain bullshit, but you just can't go running there with a sign in your hand saying 'This place is Bullshit, I'd rather be smoking pot then be here.'

Mom said everyday, once I'm at school she drinks ten cups of tea, meaning she would actually drink all the liquor in my closet.
She's depressed and lonely, I get that, she'll always be alone.

Even when I die, she'll be sad, she'll drink and drink until she's dead herself. Sad thought, I know..but I need to stop thinking about that stuff..

Once I finish eating the pancakes I made while Mom was throwing up, I met up with Corey outside and biked our way to Elton's place, this was our daily routine for the past four years, Corey waits outside for me, we both wait outside for Elton then we go to Sam's house and throw stones at his window until he wakes up.

Elton comes out, slipping on his gloves, he grins "We've only got three hours of school today" He opened the garage and got on his bike, Corey silently celebrated as I did too "Reason?" I hopped on my bike as well, Corey doing the same "Well...let's just say I know a guy from down the road.." We high fived Elton, Corey laughed and so did I, we ended up shouting "Uncle Elton you da bomb!" Elton dabbed before biking down the road, Corey and I followed after.

It was seven past eight when we arrived at Sam's place, Elton ended up climbing up to the window where Sam's room was and knocked on it. "Is it opened?" Corey yelled out to Elton, waiting for Uncle Elton to reply "I ain't seeing if it's opened!" I laughed at his answer before unlocking my phone going to my contacts and texting Sam 'Get up you lazy arse, Uncle L is knocking at ya'll window' I shook my head and sighed, "Did you text him!?" Elton yelled from up next to the window, I nodded and he asked "What did you say?!" I looked down at my phone and said in a boring tone "Get up you lazy arse, Uncle L is knocking at ya'll window" I looked up and Elton did the thumbs up, The door to the house opened and out came Sam with a curly brunette very short compared to Sam, her head covered with a blue knitted beanie.
Damn it..not now boner..
I tried my best to cover my crotch without her noticing, Elton hopped down from the window and went to high five Sam, He looked over at the girl "Hey! It's the girl who tried to steal my bike!" She blushed and slipped her hands into her pockets "You know I have a name," Everyone went silent, damn..
"It's Darcy" Elton chuckled "Ohhh right that's your name, sorry I forgot." Sam put his arm around her which kinda made me jealous...

"Darcy, This is my group of friends I was talking about. That's Corey, That's Uncle Elton-"

"Uncle Elton?" She laughed and placed a hand on her stomach "That's his nickname" She giggled and nodded. "And That's Colby" I waved at her, she smiled.

"Well come on guys, we better get to school before Mr Scamander gives us another lecture on sex education" Corey groans and hops on his bike, I get on my bike as well, same with Elton, Sam and Darcy. Darcy rode on the back of Sam's bike, holding onto him as we went along the road.

Once we arrived at school, Corey and I walked to the gymnasium where we had basketball training, Elton had science first period and would join us for PE next period. Sam took Darcy to the front office to help her get her schedule for the week, I'm guessing Darcy will join Sam in Health. 

Corey and I play with some other friends that we've met over the past years, Heath who is a friend of Elton, Brennen who usually hangs out in the abandoned neighborhood where the train station is, Gabbie whose a cheerleader, Katrina whose captain of the singing club, Meghan who is also a cheerleader, Zane also plays Basketball and Scotty likes to hang with us when we go on walks through the forest.

Long list, am I right? Let me just list them again.

Once Corey and I finished up on practice, We headed to the showers, getting all cleaned up and putting our formal clothes on we then head out to meet up with Elton outside the Science class.

Elton threw us some shirts and also shorts for us to wear, We went and changed before going to the tennis court where Mr Adams waits for us.

Sam was already there doing push-ups, Same with Katrina, Gabbie and Zane, They were doing laps around the court.

Darcy came five minutes later when we were getting into pairs, Mr Adams told the boys to pair up with a girl, which I paired up with Gabbie, Gabbie seemed to have noticed me staring at Darcy and told me to just pair with her instead but I denied.

At one point everyone circled around Darcy, Her nose was bleeding and she was all shakey, Elton helped her up and walked her over to the side where she would sit and watch, everyone was concerned. Sam said this wasn't the first time it happened to her, She'd always get them when she was 12.

We then continued for another twenty minutes, "Watch out!" I heard Brennen yell from behind me, and when I turned around the tennis ball hit me..right in the balls. I collapsed, holding my balls in pain.

Brennen came running over to me "Shit Shit Shit Shit bro I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" I moaned in pain as a response "Ohhh I'm great, just in pain that's all" Brennen helped me up, walking me over to the side where Darcy sat. God that was embarrassing..I hope she didn't see that..

I sat next to her, pretending that never happened until she turned and said "Are your buddies alright?" She grinned and pulled her legs up to her chest, holy shit looks like she's got a humor

I chuckled "Their grand" I then winked at her, she gasped and threw her arms over her head and fell to the ground "He winked at me!" We laughed at her small act and did small talk now and then about why she came here and her interests.

"It was nice talking to you, Colby. I'll see you around?" I nodded as she shook my hand and walked off with Sam, Oh god she's so-
"Hey there buddy, whatcha thinking about?" Corey and Elton came up from behind me and snickered. "Nothing, why do you want to know?" They both snickered and pointed down shit! Buddy calm down! I pushed down on my boner as they laughed "Damn it! Stop laughing you guys!"

The door clicked open as I slipped off my jacket and sighed "Mom, I'm home!" No one answered, she must be at the bar
I made my way up the stairs and went to my room, I found myself ripping off my tie and taking off the dress shirt I had on before going to the closet and opening it, at the very back of the closet was a box of beers, I brought it out of the closet and opened it up, grabbing out one beer and popping it open.

I drank and drank until Mom came home from the bar, there was a thud and laughter from down the hall. She brought back another guy who would leave her in the morning.. I sighed and opened another beer before closing the box and hiding it back in the closet, once I finished the other beer, I hid them in a spare box under my bed.

My mom was next door, being as loud as she could with a guy, not giving a damn of course. I pulled out my phone and plugged in my headphones putting on 'Sweater Weather' by the neighborhood, turning it up so it's the loudest it can be and lying down on my bed before falling asleep.
