“You need to trust me more. I’m not going to let you fall.” He says setting me down gently from an overhead lift.

“I know, I know. It’s just scary being so high off the ground.” I say nervously. I’m still shaking, but I'm not sure if it’s with excitement or fear.

“Okay well I say we’ve gotten a lot done today and we should pick this back up tomorrow.” He says then grabs his water bottle.

“Yeah I agree. I’m just going to stay a few more minutes and work on the transition from the lift.” I say blushing

“No problem. Same time tomorrow Kayla?”

“Yep! Bye.” I actually can’t believe how well that went. I thought he wouldn’t be so kind and caring and gorgeous of course. I’ve never seen this side of him. He’s always acting like a jerk with his friends. Today he was like a whole new person and I kinda like it.

                Knock Knock

“Come in” the door opens and Elle walks in. Elle is my best friend. We’ve been dancing together since we were in diapers. I’ve never met someone so alike her in my entire life. We think, feel, and say the same things. She’s an amazing dancer with incredible flexibility and amazing turns. Sometimes I wonder how I scored such an amazing best friend.

Last summer we both tried out for ABT’s summer intensive and we were both accepted on full scholarships. I can’t imagine who else to spend this experience with other than Elle.

“Oh my god. I heard you got paired with Luke for the Paux de deau class!” She screams, her blue eyes glowing with excitement.

“Oh my gosh, I know. It was like the best thing I have ever experienced in my whole entire life. He was just so sweet and kind and ugh everything about him is just amazing!” I gush flopping down on my bed. It feels good to have someone to vent to. I can’t really trust anyone else here. If you tell one person something suddenly the whole world knows that you cut class last Sunday. Elle and I have a class together in the morning so she usually stays in my dorm for the night.

“Omg Kayla you don’t even know how amazing that sounds!” She squeals fanning her face quickly.

The night goes by quickly as we fall asleep talking and watching the bachelor.

Okay I know it's a bit short, but I wanted to get a bit more of the story out. I hope you guys enjoy and on the side is a picture of what I want Elle to look like (kinda) xoxo
