I could feel myself gain more consciousness as my eyes opened. Not that it really helped but now I could see who Sage and Neil are. Neil was a tall dark and handsome kind of character but I still didn't have a clear picture of him. It was so blurry. He was gentle, but deep in voice and I could see he was wearing the clothes from the rebellion outfit. He saved me. Sage, she was angry. She ran out of there. I don't understand. From what I could see and hear something was wrong though. The room spun and now I could feel myself drift off again. Both of the bodies disappeared.

The mumbles and whispers turned into articulate nouns finally. I was able to hear noises and all it is, is pure silence. This was no longer a dream I was finally waking up. I could feel the air rush to my lungs. It felt like relief. I was safe. Truly this could have been much worse. I felt my eyes blink. The light was blinding. Lights! I thought to myself. I am in a room. I can move! My voice was still taking a moment to find itself. Thirsty. I need something. I need to speak. I began to cough. The pain was thick. It didn't hurt like normal. It felt like I was removing concrete from my throat. I could feel my hand slowly move to my neck. I could feel but my senses were still slightly off. My blue eyes adjusted to the white lights over head. Some, I noticed seemed to be flickering. What is this place?

"You've been out cold on and off for two weeks." I could hear a voice, but it wasn't familiar to anyone I knew, nor did it sound like the two who were here before.
I lifted myself slightly with what energy I thought I had, "Huh? Two weeks?"
"Careful don't move to much you were hit with a stemsterolizor."
"A stemstrophinizior?" He laughed and rolled over to my bedside in his special chair then stood up, He was tall and lanky. Most brains were.

I was above average I kept myself pretty fit. "A Stemsterolizor,"
He smiled a goofy smile and adjusted himself, "Eloy Anders."
I felt less nervous, but I felt calm. I felt safe.
"I see you don't actually talk. Any ways you have been asleep for two weeks but your mind has been awake. I believe Vitality created a new threat. Now I believe you are the Brain in your group correct?"
"Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything?"
"I believe that we share a common link."
"Link?" Now I was slightly confused. Eloy was quite friendly and seemed to know more than I did at this current time.
"Yeah we are both the 'Brains' of this operation." He laughed trying to make a joke.

NowNow I understood why I could never make any one laugh, I am sure I sounded like this. Not only did it sound funny from my own mouth but hearing another Brain make this kind of joke it made me realize how lame we were.

Eloy must have realized how much I didn't seem to register the joke and he stood up and walked over to the desk where he had been working on a set of computers. He was now more distinct to see, quite tall and thin compared to when he was sitting. It was still a little fuxxy to make out. Hi hair wasnt as darm. His eyes, I couldn't see well enough to see. Many of us looked as if we were starving and some looked like they were built from farming. He fit into the starving category. Not that I looked any different but I looked in the mirror once in a while and noticed myself stronger than some of the others around.

I realized I had been connected to some wires. I slightly panicked, "Why am I hooked up?"
"Your vitals were dropping so we connected you to an IV but after three days you started to wake and then you fell back unconscious yet you were screaming and calling out for your father. Neil thought you may have been remembering something and wanted us to make sure your memories were still intact. You never know who is out there and they will turn you into the next Guard. Your neurological patterns seem to be the same as they were when you were eight years old. The first time they checked you." The words spit out of Eloy like a nontoxic crayon.
He had my neurological wave patterns? That was probably really strange since those were locked away at the Underground. Now I have my doubts but I don't doubt something strange is going on.
