*****************Emma's POV***************************
"Hey Noah, where has Ava gone?" I questioned
"She left to go inside about 5 minutes ago, we should grab our things out of the car and take everything inside as well" Noah replied
I'm hoping that this holiday goes smoothly without any arguments. Max and I had been together a year or so now but for some reason Ava and Noah never got together. I think it's because Noah is scared that he might lose her if something goes wrong between the two of them that he doesn't realise that he is making things worse between them already. It's also got to do with the fact that he can pretty much get anyone he wants and because of that he doesn't want to hurt Ava.
We all headed towards the car and each grabbed our bags to take inside, I opened the door and put my things down taking the house in. I could see something on the ground out of the corner of my eye so I turned my body to see that its was Ava laying there, lifeless and a big gash on her head.
"AVA" i screamed and ran over to her, it was like everything was in slow motion.
Max and Noah ran behind me see what was going on.
"Max call an ambulance now!" I yelled out as I knelt beside her.
************* Noah's POV******************
I was frozen in a trance, I couldn't believe the sight in front of me she looked so vulnerable. I quickly moved myself to kneel on the other side of her and lifted her head onto my knees. In this position right now, all I could think was that she better be ok. I need her to wake up so I can tell her that I like her and not just as a friend but I really like her and I have for ages now.
"An ambulance is on its way, they said not to move her" Max said entering the room.
My heart was clenching and I felt as though the world was going around without me. I should have come inside with her and then she wouldn't have been in this situation.
"Ava, can you hear me? Open your eyes if you can hear me" I said to her, rubbing her cheek with my hand.
I felt movement underneath my have and her eyes fluttered open connecting with mine
"what happened?" she questioned in a soft tone.
"you must have fallen down the stairs, make sure you stay still an ambulance is on its way" I said back to her.
"I don't need an ambulance don't worry I'm fine, here let me up and I'll walk it off" She said optimistically .
I placed my arm over her stomach, holding her down from moving. It's better to be safe than sorry and I'm not allowing her to move until an ambulance gets here and the paramedics say she can move.
"Just lay there and get checked out ok, just for me" I said with hope
"ok, fine" Ava replied in a little huff
The paramedics knocked on the door and Max let them in.
"whats happened?" One of them asked Ava
"I was distracted coming down the stairs and I think I missed a step, next thing I know I'm waking up with these guys around me" Ava replied
"Alright, well being that you blacked out we are going to take you to the hospital to run a few tests just to make sure" The other paramedic said as they placed her onto the bed.
"One of you can come in the ambulance with her if you like" The male paramedic said as the wheeled her outside.
I looked at Max and Emma to see who was going to go with her when Emma spoke up
"you go with her and Max and I will follow behind and meet you there" she said with a small smile.
I quickly got out of the house and made my way in the ambulance with her. After a short trip to the hospital, they wheeled her off to do some scans and observations. I was sat in the waiting room, sat down waiting for the doctor to fill me in. Emma and Max walked through the waiting room doors and sat next to me.
"have you heard anything yet?" Emma questioned
"Not yet, someone should be coming out soon" I said back.
"Are you here for Ava?" A man said approaching us
"Yes" I said jumping up out of my seat
"I'm Doctor Wesley, she has had some scans done and they have all come back fine. She is in room 209 which is down the hall to the left, your welcome to go down there and sit with her while we sort out paperwork" Dr Wesley told us
We all got up and made our way down to room 209. I could see her sitting up in the bed, looking like her normal self. I took a deep breath and pushed the door open.
