SPCIS Audi-Gymnasium. October 25, 2014. 2:26pm.

After months of practicing and getting so excited for the intramurals, ito na ngayon, its last day. Ang last and most-awaited event sa intrams ay yung Search for Mr. & Ms. Paulinian Athlete. Pageant siya wherein each year level has two representatives: a male, and a female. Those contestants must be a member of any of the school's varsity or any sports-related clubs.

Being the school's official photographer, I have a better view of the show since I'm the only person who is allowed to stay in the aisle. Buti nalang pala talaga na photographer ako, para pwede ako magstay sa aisle at masusuportahan ko pa yung bestfriend kong si Garie! :) Actually, sa practices palang nila super support na ako.

After a few minutes, nag-simula na rin yung search proper.

Biglang may naglakad from the left part of the stage na girl, tapos yung boy from the right. They met at the center and walked forward together.

The girl's name is Kristine Marie Manzano, a cheerdancer. Mestisa, but for me, she's not that pretty. Maarte lang kasi kaya dalang dala niya. She was wearing a blue top with white stripes at both sides, and a white skirt with blue hemlines. That was the costume they used during the cheerdance competition, but unlike during their cheerdance, nakalugay lang yung mahabang straight hair niya ngayon. Rebonded yun, kasi di naman ganyan yung hair niya last month. I took a photo of her smiling at the audience,

Walking gracefully together with her is her partner, Zed Leander Rapisura, a member of the basketball varsity. He was wearing their blue team jersey, with a number of 12. He's tall for his age, which makes him attractive to girls. Dagdag sa pogi-points ika nga nila. Classmate ko siya from first year to third year kami pero nademote siya ngayon sa lower section. I took a photo of him, a stolen one. Halatang kinakabahan.

Kristine and Zed represented our batch. The seniors. :)

As soon as they went back to the backstage, the next pair came in. Basing from the color of their outfits which is green, I learned that these two are freshmen. Since new palang kasi sila dito sa department, hindi ko sila kilala. But according to the introduction of the emcees, their names are Kimberly Chen and Marco Dennis Sarmiento, a badminton club member and aspiring football player respectively. Ang nene at totoy pa nila, like really.

Next was the sophomores na hindi ko masyado napansin kasi di ko rin kilala kaya basta pinicture-an ko nalang sila with their yellow-themed outfits na hindi ko narin napansin kung anong sports outfit yun.

Okay next na ulit. Finally, it's Garie in a red cheerdance costume: sleeveless sa left pero may gold na long sleeve sa right, an unproportioned skirt, mas mahaba sa left kesa sa right, and a gold ribbon tying up her hair. Her make-up was like from a world-class make-up artist. Her partner is the leader of the Men's volleyball team na naetchapwera sa kagandahan nung girl.

Naghiyawan ang audience. I took a picture of the girl, then later on I flashed my cam on the boy, then took them a partner photo.

While they're walking, I suddenly found myself taking so many pictures of Garie.

"At this juncture, may we stay still for a few minutes as we wait for the results. Who do you think will be the next Mr. and Ms. Paulinian Athlete?" sabi ng emcee. May mga nagsigawan ng "Go sophies!", mayroon ring "Go freshies!", at mayroong ding "We love you, juniors!" at "We love you, seniors!" Talaga ngang mainit ang labanan.

Meanwhile, I sat at one of the monoblock chairs near me and scanned at the photos I took in my DSLR. The first photo that flashed was Garie's solo portrait. She was presenting her angelic smile, na kahit ang exotic ng theme ng costume niya eh, litaw parin pagkaangelic niya. I suddenly remembered when she was walking down the stage a while ago. She was like a fashion model. She was so.. beautiful.

I always tell myself na nakamove on na ako sa ex kong si Alyanna. But in reality, siya pa rin talaga nasa isip ko. And I was too busy thinking about her, that I didn't notice how beautiful my bestfriend is. My bestfriend who's just her,  by my side.

SPCIS Main Building - The Ledge. February 10, 2014. 4:25pm.

Since that day, I haven't stopped thinking about her.

Today? I'm still bestfriends with the Ms. Paulinian Athlete. Hindi ko pa kayang sabihin sakanya yung nararamdaman ko. Actually, I think I'm really good at hiding my feelings. She has no clue at my feelings all.

A month from now, I'll be graduating high school. I only have a few days left with Garie. I realized I have to confess soon. Liligawan ko ba siya? Kung oo, baka masira friendship natin. If not, baka maunahan naman ako ng iba. Haaay, I'm so confused.

"Pare, it's better to regret something you did, than regret something you failed to do." sabi ni Collin, ang pinsan ko. Tinabihan niya ako sa pagmumuni-muni ko sa ledge.

"Huh? Nababasa mo ba naiisip ko?" tanong ko.

"Hindi. But just by looking at you, I can see you're either hesitating or you're confused about something. Kaya ko yun nasabi. Ge, good luck ah. Una nako."

"Thanks pare." sagot ko.

It's better to regret something you did, than regret something you failed to do.

Okay. Push ko to. Liligawan ko siya. I just don't know how, when, and where.

That's all for now. ♥

Paano kaya magcoconfess si Gary kay Garie?
