It's Saturday morning. I sleep late usually. Sometimes I'm up earlier than usual but for the most part, I wake up around 10-11. I know, I know. That's really late, but in America, I have to get up for 5 o'clock in the morning every day for school. That's one thing I don't like about school. I do like school but I hate waking up early.
Today, it was different. I live really close to the school here and it starts at 9 so I can sleep later. I like that.
Today I was surprised that I was up at my normal school time: 7:30. It's when I wake up to get dressed for school here.
"Hmm? I would sleep a little longer but I'm fully awake. I'll just go get something to eat then-" my phone started ringing which cut me off.
I answered it even though it's an unsaved number.
"Hello?"
"Hi Emi-San. You are invited to eat breakfast over here if you want. My dad wanted to talk to you and Reborn asked me to call" Tsuna said over the phone.
"Oh. Hi Tsuna-kun. Sure thing. I didn't have your number... how did you get mine?" I asked. I don't remember giving him my number.
"Reborn gave it to me. Didn't you give it to him?" He asked.
"Nope. I gave it to Hibari-San and Yamamoto-San"
"..."
"Reborn must've gotten it off of Yamamoto-San's phone or my phone. Anyway, I'll be right over" I said disconnecting the line.
I got dressed in a pretty, white skirt that's to my knees and a light blue shirt. My hair I left down.
I made it over to Tsuna's house. By his expression, I was faster than he had expected.
"You got here pretty fast. I thought you had just gotten up or was asleep when I called" Tsuna said.
"Yeah. I literally had just gotten up when you called. I get dressed pretty fast. You even said that on my first day, at gym"
"Oh yeah. But this was still pretty fast. Come on in" and he led me to the kitchen where everyone was. Including Iemistu.
I'm not sure who noticed it but it looked like Iemistu was looking me up and down. Like he was examining me. Did I do something wrong?
"Nice yo see you again, Emi-chan. Glad you could make it." he said with a laugh.
I sat down and bowed my head.
"Thank you for inviting me, Mr. Sawada" I said.
We were speaking English.
"Oh, it's no problem. Being by yourself in that house all the time could be lonely. We are always here if you need us" Nana said in her best English which was great, to be honest.
"Thanks. Mrs. Nana, your English is really good. Where did you learn it?" I was curious.
"Well, when I was young, my parents moved to America for 2 years. I was 14 when we first moved there. My dad had a job that brought us there" she explained.
"Oh. Did you like it?"
"Yes. It was very nice. I lived in Marrero, Louisiana. The food was great" she said.
"Marrero? Really. That's where I'm from. Cajun runs in my veins" I exclaimed.
"Hahaha. Really? I'll have to make my red beans and rice that I learned from there one day. Oooh, maybe even my gumbo. I learned a lot from there" she was so happy.
