Betrayal: A minecraft story

Chapter 1: Everything Seems Normal

Zoe's POV

It's the 2nd birthday that I have spent in minecraft, yet I am 16. My dad, Joe, made me a beautiful strawberry cake and i can't wait until we get to eat it. I wish I could celebrate my sweet 16 with my mom. My mom died defending our home from a spider jockey and a creeper. I normally hear my dad in his bedroom crying as he looks at pictures of my mom, but I understand why he would be still be upset about this because it happened last year. I really miss her, but she was my stepmother anyway. My dad has been married twice, but he wasn't too upset about my original mother's death, because she was an awful person. My original mother always tried to harm us, and she was never home. Well the only good news about her is that she is dead. My dad is a bit overprotective, and he has been out of control lately. He walked me to my friend Haley's house, which is only like, 8 blocks away. My dad just wants to hold on to the thing that reminds him most of my mom, ME!

Joe's POV

I really love my daughter Zoe and she is just the cutest girl ever! She always obeys me and she is always so nice to me! She is really brave, and she is a very skilled archer with an enchanted bow and 2 stacks of arrows.

"Zoe get down here! The cake is ready," I yell upstairs to my lovely daughter Zoe.

"Coming daddy," exclaims my daughter.

Zoe's POV

I can smell the strawberry cake now! I am so excited! Too bad my friends are busy. As I am running downstairs, I see a strange shadow, but I'm sure it is my dad, or my pet dog, Lucky. My dad cuts the cake and I get the candles and lighter!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ZOE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

As my dad sings, I give my dog Lucky a piece of cake. My friend Haley just had a surprise visit!

"Hey Haley," I say.

"Happy birthday Zoe," says Haley!

I cut her a slice of cake, right before we retreat to my room. I sure hope that shadow was just Haley...
