Chapter 2: Scary Stories and Missing Kids

Zoe's POV

"Haley, since it is October do you want to tell scary stories?"

"You know it girl! Just make sure they are true and that they happened here, just to make them scarier," said Haley.

"One day, in that really small village that is a little while away, there was a disappearance...of....3 children! Nobody knows what happened, all they know is that the kids names were Annie, Amy, and Aly! Then the next day 3 more kids disappeared, Brian, Baxter, and Beatrice! They were never seen again, and some say if your name starts in the front of the alphabet, you should watch you back! In the village that is right behind my house, 3 kids by the names of Zane, Zelia, and Zelda disappeared, and they say that the kidnapper is starting from the back of the alphabet there, so I am kinda scared about that one. Now you tell one!"

Haley's POV

I don't know what to think, I just don't feel safe here! Should I tell her that I want to leave? Nah I guess I can survive the night.

" I don't really want to tell anymore...let's just go to sleep."

Zoe's POV

I turned off the light and we went to sleep. I was kinda scared too, but I knew my dad would look after us and make sure we didn't get hurt. At 1am I woke up to hear screams at the village a little while away and I smelled smoke from the village behind my house! Haley wasn't sleeping beside me, and I looked outside to see her at the village with flint and steel! I quickly shot her in the chest with my enchanted bow and she lay down stunned. I ran outside to help the villagers with the fire. The villagers gave mea few arrows, a golden apple, and 64 diamonds! They are really generous! I saw a note on the well that displayed a riddle. I grabbed the note and ran back inside. I put the note under my pillow. I ran back downstairs to eat the breakfast that my dad made me! There is still a question that keeps on going through my head: Did she want me to go to sleep so that she could so this? Maybe this was a coincidence....or maybe it was murder!
